Well Tom, I think there would be a round hole where his
mouth is and on the other end.

Nah, he'd be more pink. And the scarf would have tassels ... and some glitter.

ROFL, not that there is anything wrong with that.

 awesome shot, what kind of deer is it?

Just a regular white tail. However this one is leucistic, meaning it has a partial loss of pigment. They seem to have other different physical characteristics also. Shorter legs, a stockier body.

We use Doylestown Hospital sometimes rather than Abington. I like Doylestown very much...historic and just nice!

Both our kids were born at Doylestown Hospital, and we used to frequent it quite regularly, but now that the kids are older, not so much :) Great place though, I agree!

We love the history of the area too, and old time charm!

Beautifully done, Fullframe!

Thanks sailorsmom! :-D

I pass though Horsham often. I remember you gave me a welcome when I joined, but I had Philly area as my location at that time. I'm actually in Bucks County...almost like you (which of course is Philly area ;)) Montgomery/Bucks line down there. I'm by Doylestown.

That newish Iron Abby restaurant is great down by you. You should try it. Friday happy hour (4-6pm) is $5 appetizers that will fill you up good. I shoot next door at Claytons quite often too.

Regards!

I have lived at my current home for nearly forty years and, until today, I had never seen a Flicker at any of my feeders. I occasionally have one in the yard feeding on the ground but never before at the feeders. This one is a Northern yellow-Shafted Flicker and is, to me, one of the prettiest birds that visit my yard.

Please view in DOWNLOAD mode!

Have a good week!

Bob

You waited forty years for this flicker? Well, I did the downloads, and I have to say the wait was well worth it! Just excellent shots

Well since I joined a few months back I had been looking for something that I considered worth sharing. I was able to catch this little fella before he sped off into the sunset. Hope you all enjoy my first photo post. :D

All I have to say is WOW! Both are fantastic, but the second with the reflection....

These were completely unintentional. I was lined up to shoot the Ibis on the ground when he suddenly took off. I managed to get three quick shots & luckily they turned out (well, sort of). Downloading will show better detail. For those interested, the settings were.......

ISO800, f8, 1/2000.

Very Good

Here in LA, you can get it at Samy's Camera, top notch store, for $2,799. Prices have dropped, possibly signaling its replacement around the corner. Now that Canon has come out with 50 mp models, and even 24 mp in the new rebels, they may bump up the mps on the new model as well. The III is a superb camera that can do almost anything and is built like a tank.

That's about $400 too high. You can get it for $2,399 from an authorized US dealer though canonpricewatch.com. Authorized dealer orders are usually funneled through Adorama or B&H (at least for me they have).
