I have lived at my current home for nearly forty years and, until today, I had never seen a Flicker at any of my feeders. I occasionally have one in the yard feeding on the ground but never before at the feeders. This one is a Northern yellow-Shafted Flicker and is, to me, one of the prettiest birds that visit my yard.

These are really very beautiful Bob! I list the flicker as one of my best loved birds. The coloration and markings are quite appealing to me and the detail in your shots are so very nice. Thanks for posting.
