Mooseeyes is right. There is no reason to have a contract if the signing party(s) are not going to abide by the contract and then you allow it.

I beg to differ. I have formatted my SDHC 16GB card on my computer when I used it to store files temporarily. When I was done I simply reformatted with my Nikon D80 and all is well. I have done this multiple times.

I just bought a brand new Nikon 50mm 1.8D lens. I want to know if anyone else has this lens. The reason I ask is the lens slightly rattles when shaken and the barrel has play in it. Ken Rockwell also commented the lens has a slight rattle so maybe this is normal. Is it normal for the lens barrel to be slightly loose? The lens seems to work and takes crystal clear photos.

Always worried about something .... LOL

Once you manage to get your pictures off the damaged card, trash it!

Buy a new card as the old one will never be the same and memory is cheap. Do not risk messing up your camera memory socket.

I bought a used Nikon D80 about 6 months back in mint condition. Had less than 6900 clicks. I am up to just under 7900 clicks. Enjoy your camera and stop worrying about the clicks. Even if the shutter fails it is a $200 repair and this is way cheaper than a new camera if you really want to keep the camera. I hear DSLR have an average life expectancy of 75K ~ 100K clicks. Should be time for a new camera body by then!

How about just walking away and leaving them to their own devices.

A ton of rules and then you have to relinquish your photos to the MAN to protect these people from their questionable behavior becoming public. Sounds two faced and hypocritical to me.

Like the others have pointed out if these so called adults would behave and act as they expect us to act then there would not be a problem.

I myself would walk away and keep my integrity. Money is not everything!

But that is just my two cents.

Does this lens have an aperture ring? If so, try setting it to the highest number and see if your error goes away. If it does, lock the aperture ring at that setting.

My Nikon D80 gives and error if the lens aperture ring is not set to the largest number.

Good luck!
