Since I am somewhat of a speed junkie, I would love to have been driving, or piloting, it.

That is one of the best videos that I've ever seen. I had no earthly idea that they could memorize 300 feeding locations. I feed them each year and love to watch them. Haven't tried to seriously photograph them yet. But maybe next year. Thank you for sharing the link. - James

I have found out that it is easier to take a screen shot of the image, copy or download it to save it to the computer download list for future use, and than paste it to a blank page in Word and print it if desired. Works for me every time. Just my 2ยข.

I know some people say you should turn VR off when on a tripod but I never do and there isn't a problem with the shots.

I have left it on when taking close ups of firearms & their markings,, blemishes, etc. for a number of years without really noticing any issues. But..............I'll be playing it safe and turning the VR/IS off when using a tripod from now on.

I know that it uses extra battery power since I had forgot to turn it off on my Sigma 105mm Macro lens and a few weeks later grabbed the camera to take a quick shot of an insect and could not understand why the camera would not work until I saw that the battery was dead. Opportunity missed. Lesson learned.

Thanks 47greyfox & PixelStan77. Makes sense to me. All of my Nikon DX & Sigma 150mm Macro lens have a form of IS. I do use a tripod from time to time as well. Thanks.

On.
The only time you should turn it off is if the camera is on a tripod.

Not meaning to ask a facetious question, but why is it necessary to turn the VR off when on a tripod? Extra drain on the battery or other reason(s). Thanks.

They make good moving targets. Just kidding. However, depending on what they are doing where, there are some who will definatly shoot them out of the sky if given the chance

Haha - don't be so sure..... I get a few on my cell, which I can block, and is USUALLY a spoofed number.
So in that case, you're blocking someone who really didn't call you. (I always Google the number.)

But that spoofed number will be blocked. Another number one or two digits either way may call again, then just block it. Eventually that source of the calls will cease. As I mentioned, it works for me.

Wouldn't that work only if you are paying for the blocking service???

No blocking service required. It is a free Verizon feature.

Do away with the landline and then cancel the cell phone....Walla no more ro-bo calls....

I would toss the land line if I didn't need a FAX machine. Many lives seem to revolve around cell phones. I just don't understand how we ever survived without them. Similar to AC. How did we ever survive the heat and humidity without it? Especially here in the HOT & HUMID South!!
