Are you getting that via WiFi or wired directly to modem or router... WiFi connection will vary based on several factors and may not be a true measure of the speed your ISP is making available to you.

Thanks for posting this accounting. The cost to get on the track has escalted...as you would imagine. As soon as I can find it, I'll post the schedule of costs you can incur if you wreck your car and damage any of the track...almost always the guard rail and support post. If you need a tow truck, which is very likely, that cost alone will shock you.

Let's say you wreck, tear up 5 or 6 feet of the guard rail, and cause a post to be repaired or replaced. In addition. your car is not drivable so you need a tow truck or maybe a flatbed. The very least of costs you are facing would start at $3,000. And god help you if your wreck causes them to shut down the track. That cost starts at $12,000 and can escalate quickly...depending on how long the track is closed.

Oh my! I never considered, or even thought of, that when I went in. I am sure they would have put a hold on me exiting the country as well… till they were paid. I had the base legal office contact me once and tell me that until a traffic fine was paid I couldn’t leave the country.

This is a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Tour De France. The coachwork was done by Scaglietti, chosen because of their expertise in working with aluminum. It is powered by a V12 engine displacing 2953 cc and making 260 HP. Each cylinder has approximately 250 cc , which is why it's referred to as a 250 GT. It has a 4 speed manual transmission.

Prior to the 1959 Nurburgring race, the car was rolled over in a practice round. They pieced together a makeshift windshield, beat out some dents, and the car went on to win 1st in class and 9th overall. In the 1959 Le Mans race, it again won 1st in class and 3rd overall.

Beautiful car, thanks for sharing.

I “accidentally” went around the Nurburgring track in our old Chevy… many years ago (guessing 1969 or 1970). The wife and I were in the area and I wanted to show my wife any of the track that we could see… saw a line of cars and guessed they were doing the same. As we went thru the entrance, I didn’t see a way to go back out, so I stayed in the line. We reached a point where a guy was collecting a few DM (money, but not much… maybe a dollar or 2 equivalent) which I paid and proceeded with the line of cars… which entered the track and sped up. It appeared to be a “let the public run the track day”. I ran our old 6 cyl Chevy as fast as I could, and stay married, even passed a couple of cars in the 20 some old miles… being careful of the combination of very fast cars comming by and very slow cars sightseeing… saw a couple of wrecked cars including a new Karmen Gia ( ? Spelling) trying to climb out a window since he was in a ditch just wide enough to hold his car doors shut. One of our memories.

Not only is the GPS great for traveling, but it's also good for local driving. I had to drop something off in Woodstock yesterday before continuing on to Catskill. I figured I'd take my regular route through Woodstock, but the GPS had a different idea. It had me turn left and right and left and right on roads I had never taken before. It wasn't until I was a few miles from Catskill that I was on a familiar road. I don't know how much time I saved, but the GPS is set for the shortest time.

This has happened several times when I am at a local location and have to go to another local location. The GPS shows me a route that never would have occurred to me.

For years I have several General Motors (GM) and one Honda with GPS. If I had kept the Honda, or taken it on a trip, I would have bought a Garmin for it. The GM vehicles seemed harsh to the driver when they deviated from the presented route and often gave TOTALLY RIDICULOUS routes.

I recently traded one of our GM vehicles for a Ford. So far, pleased with GPS. Also, when I deviate from its route it quickly, AND QUIETLY, presents a new path.

Car #1

1936 Duesenberg SJN Rollston Convertible Coupe. This car had a supercharged straight eight engine, 420 C.I., putting out 320 HP running through a 3 speed manual transmission. It was advertised as being capable of going from 0 to 100 MPH in 17 seconds...keep in mind that this in 1936. It would run 104 MPH in second gear.

Unfortunately, Duesenberg ceased manufacturing cars the following year..1937... when The Cord Corp. collapsed.

Car #2

This beauty is a 1929 Dupont G. Only 11 of these cars were built. This car is one of 3 that had a rear mounted spare tire, one of two that had a rumble seat, and the only one that had a fold-down windshield. The entire body and fenders were all aluminum. In fact, on each side, the front fender, running board and rear fender were a single piece. A few of these cars had a cannon as a hood ornament...in recognition of the Dupont family being in the gun powder busines.

Best in download.

My local doctor is once again being taken over by another conglomerate, Northwell Health. Just by coincidence, that company made the local headlines today.

"Northwell Health, set to become Nuvance parent company, fined over $1M for deceptive advertising, AG’s office says."

I have lived in this same city since 1989 and over the years our local hospital has grown, improved, added services, etc. it has been “bought out”/incorporated into a larger company, at least 2, maybe 3 times. For a while, there were not a lot of changes that affected us patients; however, recently we were notified that the hospital would not allow family doctors to visit/examine patients while in the hospital… but rather a “hospitalist” (I had to fight Apple to let me use that term but it is correct) would attend the patient while in the hospital.

3 negatives from us… my wife is certain that a hospitalist, in another hospital, let her mother and mother-in-law die from not caring or doing anything to keep them alive… and my wife was recently in the ER and, while the ER Dr. seemed fine, we were not positively impressed with the hospitalist in the ER.

Positive… my wife was subsequently in hospital for a week and the hospitalist there was great. He seemed professional, kind/caring, thorough… ordered tests and called in specialists… etc… could not imagine anyone better!

“My opinion” is that it is simple… the corporation owning the hospital want ALL the $ flowing thru them and not have any $ going directly to the family doctors that would visit the patients.

While I was happy with my three screen setup, I was not when it came to post-processing.

I upgraded all three screens to the same HDMI IPS 4k monitors. Since I was at it, I boosted their size to 32''. This works in conjunction with a 65 4k TV where I can really visualize the prints I am about to make.

Cost? Lets than $1,000.00 (+taxes) for the three LG UltraFine 32-Inch.

Only one issue that does not really bother me, the right monitor forces me to turn my head a bit more since I usually work the right and center monitor, the right one is basically keeping me updated as to what runs on my PC and a couple of other utilities.

Looks/sounds great!

Love your setup… it just will not work for me. My last display change was to get rid of 2 screens and install a single 34” monitor. While it was a bit to do about desktop space it was primarily about my vision. My normal glasses are bifocal and I have some glasses that are for PC use only (single focus lenses) but too far away and things are not in good focus. I use a split screen, with 2 equal sections right and left… working primarily on the left screen. Sometimes the far right is still not in great focus. Rarely, I put something on the entire screen.

I wanted to put half a dozen video files (39GB) onto a 64GB flash drive I just got. Naturally, not one of them would fit onto this empty drive. Then I remembered - exFAT. After formatting it exFAT, the files are transferring without a hitch. I'm sure there's a very good reason for the different formats, but I often want to transfer large files, so I have to remember to reformat the drives.

I was going to put these files onto my Google Drive, but - no good. I deleted virtually everything - still no good. I discovered that even after I delete files from my GD, they are still there, as Trash. After I deleted all the Trash, I had my storage capacity back.

I run into that kind of limitation with music and video/movie files. Unfortunately, sometimes I have to comprise on the file to get it on a device that works where I am going to have to use the thumb drive.

While, usually, any type of formatting, of the thumb drive, will work on a computer… but say I am putting video/movie files on a thumb drive… I may need to save the file as a lower quality movie/video to put it on a thumb drive that will be playable on a certain Television to play.

If any car, television, etc would play an NTFS formatted thumb drive… that wou be what I would use… but I have to work around the capability of the player I will be using.
