American Copyright is a minefield, rest of the world is much simpler. I you take a photograph it is the copyright of who is paying for it. I it is taken without being contracted it is the photographers for the next 75 years.
Some of my Photos from 1957 are getting awfully close! If I can just last another 13 years ;-)

Shame steering wheel is on the wrong side :-). They were new just 3.5 x the price of my new mini at the time (1962).
I turned down a 1928 Rolls Royce Hearse with 8000miles for 200 pounds but Minis were the rage then. The hearse was sold 15 years ago for US$ 290,000 and still only had 15,000 miles (i.e. not yet run in).

If you want it right focus manually - you know what is the point you want to focus on - BUT for 95% of the time the autofocus is quite adequate.
Important shots I autofocus then manually focus if I am not really happy. As my sight deteriorates I rely more on the autofocus.
Nikon D7200
Olympus M10 Mk 2
Nikon D3400
Pentax K10D the best anti shake of all the above.
Leica R8 and about 20 'vintage' cameras from 110 to 122 (postcard size Negs).
Lenses from 10mm to 500mm.
All work and take reasonable photos main problem is the photographer, I was good between 10 and 60 but now...

Personally I would go for 2 x 32GB SDHC - it really depends on your camera and the movie quality you are shooting. The UHS-I is required if you can shoot 4K or higher Video or very slow motion e.g. 100 f.p.s.
It may be a good idea to check with the manufacture on what they recommend. Also consider if a spare battery is required for 4K video, it tends to use a fair amount of power. Mirror-less cameras use less power!

Most important - Have Fun.

My lens I normally use is the 14-150 and highly recommend it, I also have the 12-40 and an older 40-150. The older lens is not as sharp as the 14-150 BUT it seems to be better made. Work that out!

Started two months ago and seems OK most of the time. You must have a good internet connection otherwise it is a waste of time. Sometimes get frustrated with (lack of)speed and go back to my local Light Room 6.0, Speed factor of about 3 times faster.
If your internet is poor do not bother!
Australia's Internet is very definitely slow and very expensive, used to be 12 in world now not in top 200 !
(the government got involved need I say more).

Just bought this lens and have not noticed this. Had a Minolta 100-200 zoom about 30 years ago which was very noticeable.
Very satisfied with the lens but still to give it a serious work-out.

I was at Brooms Head yesterday & noticed these gulls having a drink. There were some very strong wind gusts, hence the ruffled feathers. Downloading is recommended.

Just note they are normally hard to get close to. They are fairly common in East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia where I live and I have been trying to get a good photos but my 18-55 mm lens makes it impossible. I now have a new 200-500 Tamaron which will help

I guess you don't mean the one here in Melbourne.

It is very definitely worth a visit, I happened on a wedding of two young Japanese and took a few photos as they were so happy it was infectious and stayed to take a few more photos of the oust side. Had an appointment so could only spend a few moments there but will go back next time in Melbourne.

I had Luminar last year but it was so slow and sluggish on my computer (Windows 10) compared to LR that I returned it and they gave me credit. I would like to use it if it has gotten any better. Has it?

Luminar likes 8GB of memory, it will run on 4Gb but very sluggish. Current version of Photoshop is the same.
My 2006 Mac Pro has 24Gb and it runs fine. Current Photoshop and Light room will not run on Mac OSX before Sierra to try to make you buy new computers.
That appears to be enforced by Apple.

I work on the principle - If it ain't broke don't fix it!!

I read somewhere that one of the byproducts from the K-14 (Kodachrome) process was cyanide, not something the home processor would (or could) deal with.

Potassium Ferricyanide has been used as a bleach in photography since the 1880's. The once popular 'Farmer's Reducer' was 1 part Frerricyanide 5 parts Hypo (fixer without hardener) and 2 to 20 parts water. It would effect the highlights first and give a brighter print. Not a problem if you used it as intended and wore gloves, disposal was/is a problem!!
One of the reasons for the demises of Kodachrome was the Very Very high toxicity of the chemicals and the very high cost of cleaning effluent before discharge to the sewer. The Coburg (Melbourne, Australia) had a team of chemists and quality control staff just for this process and they were highly paid as it was considered so important.

The Melbourne (Australia) machines were over 12m (close to 40 feet) long and half of that was for drying. K12 were even longer. My brother-in-law was in charge of the Kodachrome department. They had 8 machines at one time. 8mm and 16 mm had one, Super 8 had 4 at peak and the rest were 35mm. At a later stage one of the Super 8 was replaced by a 120 size. All these machines were running at high speed (seem to remember 36 feet a min.) and ran 16 or 24 hours a day. One of the operators could tell where the film was produced when they were running at that speed.

Years ago there was a Kodak book called "Close Up Photography" which covered just about everything from lighting, equipment background and focus technique. You may be able to find a copy online. Also google "Close Up Photography" as well as Macro and Micro photography.
You will find the 18-200mm will give you more room to move if set 100 to 150 mm and the tripod is essential. Lighting, I use Aluminum cooking foil as reflector wrapped around books or blocks of wood which you can move around easily.
The whole process is addictive so allow plenty of time!!

The research may apply only to short term memory (which is what mobile phone users seem to have). I can pick up one of my photos from 20,30 40,50 or 60 years ago and tell where, why, which Camera (from over 30) and who was with me when I took the photo.
I just can't remember what I had for dinner yesterday.

Just looked a photos fro earlier this year and it seems my memery is still working well.
I think the factor is how much you are interested in what you are doing.
