Now, the disclaimer: I have no idea what the subjects themselves looked like. So, things may look a bit different than the original. However, through the use of a few custom sharpening techniques, the application of tonal masks, etc. I was able to bring a bit more detail out of the original.
The processing was somewhat minimal. There's more that could be done but I was just after a proof of concept.

I would say your enhancements are impressive! The originals I posted are visually accurate to my eyes as far as lighting and color saturation are concerned but your enhancements show a lot of detail and color not visible to my eyes (I am approaching 80 years old so cataracts etc do somewhat come into play here). Thanks for giving me some things to consider.
