Started hunting rocks some months back to keep fit. I wondered how it might work out photographing them. Here are a few for your consideration.

Nice!!
But the lighting is a little harsh: try some diffusion
i like 1 & 4 as they are ... the others could use some softening ... diffusion is not a universal solution

Very nice, also very difficult to get the lighting. I know because I've tried it unsuccessfully.
Used to be a rock collector when I was a kid. These are excellent.
Wow. These are impressive shots of wonders of nature!
I shoot rocks sometimes too. Your photos are all excellent, will lighted and very interesting.

I'm in the group that finds this interesting but lacks lighting. Lighting these is a bit difficult but the reward is greater definition and detail.

I have to agree with the majority but I would have no idea how to improve the lighting
Not having a lot of time to work on all of them, I picked the first to see if it was possible to bring a bit more detail to the photograph. Here's the result.
Now, the disclaimer: I have no idea what the subjects themselves looked like. So, things may look a bit different than the original. However, through the use of a few custom sharpening techniques, the application of tonal masks, etc. I was able to bring a bit more detail out of the original.
The processing was somewhat minimal. There's more that could be done but I was just after a proof of concept.
