Good shot... Rare opportunity.
We had one found his way around here some years ago.
He was around the same tree for a month and brought many many birdwatchers to the scene.
He was very nonplussed about if and just sat in a low tree 10' from the road.
A very big owl as I remember.
A guess is you inadvertently changed to center point focus.
Restore the camera to default settings?
Thanks for the reply. Practice makes perfect!
Just to clarify Paul..
They look very sharp.
You are shooting w the 1.4 extender fixed at aperture 8 and variable shutter and iso?
You find no degradation of the speed that the auto focus operates?
Or have you used it with different apertures as well and found the focus satisfactory?
Nice time i am sure. Nice shooting too.
Iconic mountain. Nice shooting.
Nice shooting... birds in flight take some practice!
Ice time of year,
nice shooting.
A hard life back there in those days.
Nice photos.
Cool birds.
We had one that came and hit the same tree in our year practically every morning for a year.
So loud that the sound would wake you from a sound sleep. He hasn't been around lately... Must have found a happier hunting ground.
That thing has camouflage for sure.
When you look through the window is the butte in Arches?
Nice shot.
Love the black sky against the landscape.
