The snow was beautiful, the cold, biting wind, not so much! We had some very strong, spring like winds on this trip that chilled you to the bone. However, that did not detract form the beauty of the N.P. and out I went to capture a few scenes. These were taken at Sunset Point the first evening looking into the amphitheater as the "Golden Hour" light was beginning to illuminate the basin. Have more to post in days to follow from other points in the Park.

Beautiful images. I love the light - your choice of shooting at that time of day was the right one.

The story about the Bryces was interesting indeed. Theirs was a hard life for sure. That shows on Ms Bryce’s face - not even a hint of a smile. Understandable after birthing and raising a dozen children.

Many thanks, Earnest...these are my favorite conditions to photograph here so I always try to make a "mad dash" down here when the snow is flying!!

Boy StanMac, can you image the hardships they must have experienced moving every few years and trying to keep a slew of kids in tow!! Many thanks for stopping by and good to see you enjoyed the history as well as the images!
