Move to another state.

I have been a B&H customer for many years, and the reason being laser fast free shipping and no sales tax. This past week I received a letter from them stating they had notified the state of Colorado of my purchases which amounted to slightly over 3K. Now I know we are supposed to pay the state taxes voluntarily on our purchases from out of state businesses, but I believe not many do, at least I didn't until now. Being a Canon shooter B&H priced those items at list and the savings was in taxes. So, from now on I will make my purchases from my local brick a mortar store which is Mike's Camera in Boulder, Colorado (which is 9 miles away) and not have to deal with this when I file my state taxes. No problemo, and no more waiting around for the big brown truck, but has anyone else received a letter like mine from B&H? I shudder at the though of receiving a letter from Adorama!

This could be the best thing that has happened for local camera stores.

We have about 6" I had to clean out the driveway 2 times and warm up the tractor 2 times. Better if a came all at once.
Merry Christmas to all.

I bought a camera from them and it did not work. They would not take it back or exchange it. Buy from reputable dealers.

I have seen several posts concerning 42nd St Photo on this site, not all positive. They have a Canon SX60 HS advertised for $369.00 with free shipping. Is this a good deal? Could it be gray market and if so would Canon honor the warranty or repair it if necessary? Thanks for any advice.

A pro once told me he would switch to Nikon but he has too much invested in Canon lenses. I did not want to make a mistake so I bought Nikon.

As I was looking at all the beautiful pictures of animals members posted here today, it occurred to me that when sci-fi movies show distant worlds, they may have humanoid creatures, but they have nowhere near the variety of creatures that we have on earth. I guess it would take too much effort and money to populate an alien world. Imagine what the world would be like if we didn't such a variety of life.

Did you forget a word in your last sentence?

Interesting story about the origin of those old Buick portholes.

Thanks Jerry
Now I know why I had to pay so much for a Buick. Fake holes must be expensive. I hope the rest of the car is not a fake but they are a nice car.

I was born in ND but smart enough to move out. Much more to see in SD.

Plan on completing one of the items on my bucket list. ND is the only state out the 50 I have not visited. Would like some good sites to visit. Like history, wildlife and scenery. Know that Roosevelt NP is one that is good, but don't have many other ideas. Will be going mid Sept. Coming from Michigan UP across northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.
