The unknown.......

Here are two pics, one is just the enlargement and crop of the other. I saw this directly overhead this past Saturday while on a Scout outing. I have my ideas of what it is, but would like to see if anyone out there in the hog can tell me for sure what it is. Also interested in guesses.

The original was shot at 250mm using my 55-250 kit lens on my Canon T2i. The object took about 30 mins to move about 45 degrees.

Yes, weather balloon is what I thought, but when looking up pictures of weather balloons, most don't look like that.
Maybe 8 or better yet, infinity.

I wasn't being serious about the weather balloon, but it could be some kind of balloon - maybe. "Weather balloon" seems to be the stock answer for any UFO. The "8" or infinity is interesting.

A balloon of this type might be what I saw.

That seems plausible, and the figure eight could be the way the light refracted through the envelope.

Yes or junctions of material, bottom or top, who knows. I submitted the picture to a local TV weather dept. with a request to confirm or correct my suspicions, but have not had any reply yet.
