Still working on the BIF. I sort of liked the snow caped mountains in the background.

I went to Monta Vista Colorado 3 times, so lots more crane photos!

These birds were all pretty far away. Heavy crop with a 600mm!

Open to thoughts and suggestions!

terrific set!

Shot this yesterday with my new Nikon D7200 which Ive had for a few weeks and am enjoying soon to introduce it to my Tamron 100-400mm. The Pheasant shot was with my Nikon 70-300mm. Comments are invited! Zoom in as well!

Osprey with early morning catch.
Sony a9, Sony 200-600 @ 600mm f6.3, continuous auto focus, manual exposure, 1/1600 sec. iso 250, zone auto focus, 20 fps.
Exposure based off a green tree (which reflects roughly what a gray card would reflect) then -1 to -2 stops.

Wow! How did you do that?

Trying to clean up the desk top and put files away. I came across these and they are too cute.

I don't know, but I got the feeling this was a parent and a young otter. The one just wanted to take a nap on the snow, but the other just wanted to play!

Really nice series!

If this has been covered recently before please give me the address.

Please help me for a new computer useful in postprocessing (Photoshop). I do not need a gamer computer.

I need the following:

1. Desktop/Tower Windows operating system.
2.Price in about $700 plus or minus
3. I do not need a game computer.
4. I do not need a top fast computer.
5. I do need enough memory to adequately/effectually postprocess images
6. I do not take or use movies
7. If necessary, the ability to replace or add a component

Thank you for looking into this. I have received excellent advice from UHG people.

Terry,
I've had good luck with Dell. I have one of their unspecified desktop workstations, and it is very good with photoshop and the rest of the Dell photo bundle. You can go to their website and build a computer from scratch or modify one. You will not get away for $700 I don't think. But you can bargain with the sales people. I think a workstation with a Xeon "W" processor will be fine.

This scene was captured outside of my hotel window in Helsinki. The iso was high and the colors real. Very different genre for me but I thought that I would share. Happy weekend

This barred owl sat in a tree in my backyard from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (when it flew to my neighbor's yard), alternating between sleep and wake states. It let me get within approx. 50 feet and take pictures. The lighting wasn't the best, but it rarely is in nature photography.

Nikon D7200, 200-500 mm f/.6.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Great shots! Especially the last one.

This one annoys me. Some people think they will appear intelligent if the avoid using the word "me." Instead, they use "I" where it doesn't belong. The link below explains the usage, but I have a very simple way to decide which one to use: leave the other person out of the sentence and see what word should go there. "They gave an award to Bill and I." You hear that type of thing all the time. Let's try it without "Bill." "They gave the award to I." That doesn't sound very good, does it?

FINALLY!! Someone (Jerryc41) gets annoyed by the same things that annoy me. It's vs its is another one. It's easy to use the correct version in its place! It's means "it is." With that translation, you should never go wrong. Further, I vs. me; she vs. her--these are just as basic. "I gave she a bath." Really?

We had some rain at the end of last week, so the the birds in these photos were wet and in some cases (especially the blue jay) bedraggled.
