I am interested in the 16-50mm lens.

We have several. The firm is ok. The regulars is better. Had a problem with one that the seam opened.
They make you jump through hoops in order to replace it. You don't have to send it back. They did replace it and sent 2 pillowcases along with the new pillow. Turned out ok. I was able to fix the open seam, and have a spare.

I'm aware of some of the deficiencies of UWA-Z lenses, PG. Used to have two - the Tamron 10-24, which I've now sold, and the Sigma EX 10-20 HSM - which I kept. But, before getting another UWA-Z for my Nikon, Sony or Pentax systems - I wanted to find out what others here, thought. I am partial to the Sigma 8-16 - and wanted to get it in Sony a-mount - but have read some bad stuff about that combination …

I have one that I use on my a77, and a65 for Real Estate interiors. Great lens.

I took my driving test in a friend's 1961 Dauphine. Fun car to drive vs. my 61 Ford Galaxie that was a stick, no power steering or brakes. He traded it for a 65 Corvair. One junk for another

Not only do you need insurance, make sure the Real Estate company has insurance.

I have visited the Tidal Basin for many years and of course it's always packed with visitors, but I wouldn't let that stand in your way for a single moment. Besides the amazing cherry blossoms (which can still be beautifully photographed at any time of the day or evening), there is a carnival atmosphere that's fun to photograph too, and the annual parade on and near Constitution Avenue can present some great photo ops. So please don't forget that adding outstanding shots of people can often make your photographs a lot more interesting than the gazillion formal shots of the Tidal Basin when it's empty of all humanity. And by the way, I've seen very few rude people there, but I've seen plenty of kids and adults from all the way around the world having a great time together and putting on quite a show.

I have gone there many times, and have found the people friendly, and not rude. One year, I did the "Flat Stanley" for my grand niece. They took pictures of me posing in various places with it. Even the park rangers posed with it. Easy to get shots of the Cherry Blossoms framing the Jefferson Memorial.

I believe all the reliable sources sell at the same prices. I bought 2 Pro 10s a couple of years ago when my local store had a smokin' deal on 'em. When I went for more ink I found the local store, B&H, Amazon and Canon USA all sold at the same price per cart. Sales tax at the local store but in hand now, everybody else had free shipping on 3 or more carts (it takes 10 inks, so I was always ordering a bunch at once), and Canon threw in free paper. (I have ~250 sheets of 13x19 paper that I'll probably never use - just haven't yet found a shear big enough to cut it down to sizes I do use.)

I bought the Pro10 because I print B&W and had always been taught that pigment inks were the only way to go for B&W. Based on what I've seen over the past few years I suspect I would have been just as happy with the Pro100, and would have had an extra black tone to use in the process.

The pigment inks also have a much longer longevity, and will print better on matte papers.

Looks like the weather we had in mid January. Spent the weekend in Fishkill, NY. It was zero on that Sunday morning. Too cold for me to stop the car near the Bear Mt. Bridge for pix.

Borrowed one to shoot a wedding. Not great results. Just use a Sto Fen diffuser. Works well

I have the same monopod. The only things that I added were a GkGk G06s Pan Head and a small piece of black foam pipe insulation from Home Depot for about $3. This keeps it warm for winter shooting. Doesn't look bad either.

Same here, I use the same service for my Officejet Pro 8720. I do not print photos on it. For photos that I plan on framing I use a Canon Pro 100 with OEM inks. If anyone is selling their work, only use OEM inks.

I might put the A350 up for sale. I have the same Tamron lens. In addition, I have a Sigma 8-16mm lens for the A65. I keep a Sigma 18-200mm in the case with the A65, and a Sony 11-17mm in the case with the A77. I have a Sony 58 flash with the A65, and a Metz 58 AF2 with the A77. Good for back up.

I don't own the A6000. The original owner of my A65 traded it for the A6000.

Just remember it is the person behind the camera. I have a friend that has GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome)

Almost like going duck hunting with a bazooka. Most of his pix are below 8.5 x11. Has a camera with a 45meg sensor and shoots only jpeg. What a waste!

The A65 was a week old when I bought it. The buyer thought that it was too complicated for him. It does have GPS, and I bought the Mack camera guaranty for about $65. Never had to use it, but used the original Sony about 3 months after I bought it.

I use both the cameras so that I don't have to keep changing lens (dust). I also have an A350. It just sits in the case.

No, I paid $400 for the week old A65. Have no idea what they gave him on trade for the A6000. It was a great deal at the time, and I was able to get a 5 year Mack Camera warranty for it.
