The camera store is just around the corner- I think it is Feldman Camera? It has been a few years since I've been there so Google then first.
According to YELP, Feldman Camera is permanently CLOSED. Thanks anyway.
Welcome from a fellow Michigander. I'm also new here and am finding it's a great forum!

Nice shots. I was once a bubblehead (navy talk) and really like your shots.
Chris, "Either you're qualified or you're not." Do you belong to USSVI? I've been on the Silversides several times as the Michigan Sub Vets (Escolar Base) hold their Memorial Day meeting there.

I thought this was a repair facility only. Do they sell cameras?

Sorry my friend but the books are created as legacies for my grandchildren and a great grandchild, should they ever ask, "What did Grandpa do?" Thanks so much for the interest and the kind words.
Outstanding photos, Joe. I understand the desire to write books for your grandchildren. I wrote my life story for mine so they'd have some idea what their grandfather did.
I thank you for all the complements re: my carvings. Here's a few more.

Decide the largest size you may want to enlarge your images to, then buy a camera with a sensor that will deliver the resolution you need. the SX50 is great for snapshots, but limited for making wall size enlargements. Some prefer a camera with a viewfinder, as seeing a screen in bright light can be difficult to compose on. You might want to visit ProPhoto on Plymouth Rd in Livonia for a selection of camera to select from.
Thanks. I'll have to check ProPhoto out as they appear to be the only camera store on the west side. The Lumix FZ200 also looks appealing.

Great touch, how often do you use a dremo?
Rarely use a Dremel, but had to for the rose.

Thanks for posting. I like....
Thanks, Kamraman. I'll include it for consideration.
Since I'm new to the forum, I thought I would share one of my other hobbies..
Hi! And now...a little about me. I'm a 72 year old retired controls engineer and technical trainer. When I retired 9 years ago, I got a Canon S3IS which I've put to good use. However, when my wife told me we're going to Alaska for our 50th anniversary next year, I began to think I should upgrade my camera. So lately been doing a lot of research, esp. on mirrorless cameras. Then last week, a friend recommended the Canon SX50 which looks interesting. So I'll be looking throughout this forum for your comments, suggestions, etc.
