I have a 7D. For birds the 100-400 wasn't cutting it. Got the sigma 150-500. Shutter speed 1200, aperture f/8 and iso 800 to 1600. Hand held, acceptable but really needs a tripod to shine. At least for me.

Where else can you buy this range for a 1000.00? Plus, mtshooter likes it.

I don't think the lens he has is an L. Don't think collars are made for this one.

Pardon my expression but you really gave away a valuable piece of equipment for $1500.00 with a little more than 2700 actuations. Whoever got it certainly didn't get a deal but they got a legal steal because it was an agreed transaction. Even if you do have excess money transactions such as this you won't have it long. It's apparent you're not a businessman nor anywhere close to being a professional photographer let alone an amateur.THINK before you decide peddling your camera equipment.

Qxygen, check out the last verse.

Sold my Mark II for 1500.00. 2,750 accuations. Bought new for 2500.00. Bought the Mark III for 3500.00. Enjoy the Mark III much more. For me it is well worth the extra cost.

Just got one last week. Had best results hand held using high shutter speed and F8. Using a tripod would really help but is an inconvenience tracking birds. Mine is a bit tight using the zoom but would rather have that than a creeper.

I totally understand how you feel, after last night and a member taking the picture of my daughter and using it as his profile picture and refusing to remove it, I no longer feel safe to share my images (family or not). I spent the better part of my evening removing all the images I could from UHH. My involvement on this forum will no longer be as strong as it was.

I no longer feel that this forum is friendly. The Admin has let the inmates run the asylum for too long and the crazyies have been out in full force lately. Roger left at the beginning of this week, Ward left at the end of June, , I have been harassed to the same level of discomfort. When does it stop?
I totally understand how you feel, after last nigh... (show quote)

I didn't know June had died. Roger who?
