Welcoming me to the Hog, Sc31. There is a reason the 18-55 and 55-200 lenses are part of a standard offering- they give you quite a lot of flexibility. I would stick with them until you have more experience with the lenses you have. Later you will have a better understanding of the focal length(s) you most frequently find yourself using. You don't say what camera body you are currently using with the 18-55 and 55-200. ;)

You don't say what camera and lenses you have so anyone trying to help is shooting in the dark. If you are taking only one lens I would take the one that covers the greatest range wide angle to telephoto. ;)

Practice and attention to detail are part of the growth curve every photographer goes through and struggles with. You may never take a perfect photograph- very few have. I argue there is no such thing as perfect. Embrace the pursuit and have fun along the way. ;)

Welcome to the Hog, grossoboe. Sorry I can't help with your question. Suggest you start a new post in the main discussion forum. Use a title with your lens and question included. Try something like "Tamron 150-600 Updates" to attract users of this lens and I'm sure your question will be answered. ;)

If your camera without a l-bracket is level when mounted on your tripod adding a bracket designed for your camera and remounting it to the tripod will still be level. Does this answer your question? ;)

Lovely view. Management is going to move you from your window if you don't get back to work. ;)

Welcome to the Hog. You can't go wrong with either but I would go for the D750. Stay away from Tronic- no authorized Nikon dealer can sell lower than the authorized price set by Nikon so something is wrong with this outfit. ;)

I once hosted three rather beautiful French girls -- a family obligation shared, as I was already "taken". Took them to an east coast ocean beach where they changed from fully clothed to French bikinis right on the beach with the skill of fan dancers. Somehow all involved avoided arrest. Did stop a variety of folks in their tracks. Must be a French thing...

Therefore making the pursuit endlessly interesting or incredibly frustrating depending on mindset. The thought of an art / craft where I have the opportunity for limitless improvement...I will never be bored. In the final analysis, my images only have to please me!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Indeed. I have said many times photography is "a lifetime pursuit" - there is always something new to learn and explore and maybe even master but the perfect photo is always (or nearly always) just just out of reach. ;)
