I bought a new D-7200 for $889.39 from Amazon fulfilled by Electronics Basket, with free ground shipping ( it took over a week to get across the country. The camera came in a kit box with a battery and charger but the kit lens and manual were removed. It saved me some $205 off list. A manual is a free download from Nikon. The serial number registered with Nikon for warrenty just fine.

I hate to let my D7000 waste away. DO I really need this?

What you really need is the ability to make decisions without taking "advice" from strangers who are biased.

Well, I can appreciate a man who is in touch with his true self and acknowledges his limitations. May all your choices be based on good advice. I see the Nikon D7200 refurbished sale is gone. Hope you were lucky enough to get one at the $799 price.

i have 2 d7000 bodies and use them constantly ..i purchased the d7100 because i was told how marvelous it was compared to the others..and it sure is..but now my shutterbug friends that have recently purchased the d7200 are raving about that one..every year a new and better camera is going to come out..if you are happy with your d7000 then use it lovingly and enjoy every shot you take with it..i love all mine and see very little difference if any with my photos..it is all about the lenses that you buy ..and if you aren't printing billboard size photos then buy up if you have the extra money and want a second camera body..

I have the 7200 and really I would have purchased the 7100 but...for me the buffer size of the 7200 fit my needs better. Other than that save the money and get the 7100.
