Where does one go to trade or rent lenses?
I have a D7000 with the 18-105mm kit lens which has VR and would like to trade or sell the 70-300mm lens I also have for one with VR.
Thanks everybody!
You are exactly right MT. That was the step I had missed. Once I did what you just pointed out, it updated without a problem.
Now I have to wait and see how the SanDisk card(s) work.
Hopefully, no more error codes.
Got it! Now I only hope that I no longer have problems with my SanDisk 16GB class 10 cards.
Wish me luck and thanks everybody!

Just did that. I'll let you know what they say when I hear from them.
Thanks everybody!!
I am not using the SanDisk card. I am using a Sony 4gb class 4 card as I have never had a problem with it.
I can get the upgrade onto the SD card but it does not recognize it when inserted into the camera.
The reason is that the update is supposed to address the issue of SD cards not being read correctly.
I'm getting error codes from two new 16gb class 10 SanDisk SD cards. SanDisk is recommending the upgrade to see if it cures the problem.
Supposedly there is a firmware update for the Nikon D7000 updating the B firmware from 1.02 to 1.03.
I have been trying to update my camera with no luck. The camera won't recognize the update I loaded onto the SD card. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Rich
fotogk, There are several options in the format box and then there is erase in the lower right hand corner. I used that option since I didn't know which (if any) of the format options I should choose.
MT, I can't find a way to format the card in my Mac. Do I have to shoot an image or two, then download them and have the computer delete the images for me?
Also, I purchased the cards through Amazon and they came in individual clear cases but no SanDisk packaging.
The error happens right after I take the picture. I then have to remove the card and reinsert for it to work again. Then I reshoot the photo.
Page 319 I believe has the compatible SD card list.
I will write down exactly what the error message says the next time it happens.
I don't have another camera to test that theory. I have a D70 but that uses a CF card.

I recently put two Sandisk 16 GB class 10 Extreme HD Video cards into my D7000. I formatted each card immediately after putting them into the camera for the first time. On occasion I have been getting 'err' in the display and a warning on the playback screen. I now have to check every image to see if it took. I didn't have any problems with the 4 GB Sony class 4 cards I still have. Any ideas as to what is happening? Did I get two bad cards? Should I send them back for replacements?
Also, I have been removing the cards and inserting them into my MacBook pro to download images. Is there any difference between doing this and connecting the camera via the USB cable? I wouldn't think so. Thanks, Rich
I leave mine on for everything except like GW, using a flash as you can get that shadow at the bottom of your image.
