I ordered one , but keep getting delayed delivery messages. The sellers are also wanting my opinion on how good I think their service is. Have not really experienced their 'Service' yet.. Just how long can I keep my fingers crossed?, makes typing difficult . I've only got one good eye, so binoculars are overkill.

Have sent a message to Brian Smith on his website, but no reply yet. The Commilite I have purchased, will not retain AF, even on a Nikon 70-300 AF S lens. But AF is working on some Sigma lenses. All is not lost.

I have used Fotodiox adaptors with no image issues. The one thing I will note is that some have a set screw to secure the adaptor to the lens. Others did not. My Leice R to Canon adaptor is used often. I also have the Topcon/Exakta to Canon adaptor which works equally well. David C.

The set screw I have on the M42 thread to Nikon adapter, allows me to rotate the M42 lens to see the set. / pre set aperture, prior to shooting. Useful idea.

I have the Commlite and use it on my Sony a7rii with my Nikon lens and it works fine and AF works beautifully I even use Sigma F Mount lens and all work beautifully this is the only adapter that I have found that will work and I had tried a few.

I got the Commlite adapter, but will not AF with any Nikon/Sigma lens I tried, even a Nikon 70-300 AF-S lens. Might be a firmware thing, awaiting answer from Brian Smith website.

I am 93 and have had AMD for a few years, and have had the injections. The round thing you see is an air bubble that sometimes goes in with the injection and is floating in the liquid inside the eye. The reason that it is at the bottom is that it is inside the eyeball and hasn't gone through the eye's lens in order to get inverted. It is in fact at the top of the inside of your eye. Yup. Everything you see is downside-up:)

Thanks for the explanation. Regards.

The title of your post seemed to infer that YOU had printed the picture?? Just sayin'. I also thought you were a Pro' Photographer, from previous postings. Perhaps I was mistaken.

I wonder if I have witnessed a similar thing. Had yet another injection into my left eye, to combat AMD (Age -related Macular Degeneration), However, this time, when I got back home, I could see a black circular blob at the bottom of my left eye vision, nothing like the 'shadow' associated with AMD. The blob seemed to be floating about 6 inches in front of me. After two days, the blob disappeared. I seem to recall that 'Floaters' can be experienced with AMD, or the injection treatment. Can it be 'Age -related'?, as I am only 85.

Have used adapters to fit 39mm screw Leica lenses to an E fit Sony body. Also Pentax screw lenses onto Sony body. That had a re-set screw, to assure the lens would be in the correct orientation. Good idea, to be able to read the aperture chosen after focus had been set.

I have a friend who swears he was told, years ago - and by a famous photographer - that the sun’s light should ALWAYS come from over your right shoulder, and he has lived by that principle ever since. Now mind you, his images are all lacking somewhat in originality, but by God those pesky shadows always fall away from him! He finds that to be a pleasing, reliable consistency! His walls are covered with pictures of uniformly squinting family members and friends.
Just sayin’.
Dave

George Eastman had that principal thought, also.

Is there any filter or technique that will enhance a reflection in water like the one in my duck image? I would like the reflection to be stronger. if possible.

Use your editing programme (P Shop) and Magic Wand the reflection, carry out enhancing tools to give you the result you desire.

If the sun is behind you, the reflection will show the sunlit-side of the reflected subject. Angle of reflection = angle of incidence. Works in the UK not sure if it also works in the USA. LOL.

Thanks for all replies, Have just managed to order Commlite adapter from BH . Paying by Paypal has become a PITA recently. A code is sent over the internet, and a 'Phone call comes from Paypal asking me to confirm the code, using the 'Phone key pad. Problem being that my Land-line phone has an Auto-Block on International calls. But eventually got around that problem. These problems Eyyyyhhh, just to hinder me spending money.!!!

Have got a couple of straight adapters (without retained AF) I have also. some Sigma lenses FF and crop. Almost ordered the Commlite adapter, but Paypal payment would not function, order is in Limbo at the moment. Perhaps an Omen, not to purchase the 'Expensive One' (??).
