Just for people who want to use this program and cannot load it.
Microsoft Digital Image is the one software out of about 17 that I have that I just cannot do without. It is old but does layers, has gamma correction and everything I need for editing. It will load on Windows 7 but not on Windows 10 unless you know how. If any of you have tried and failed, here's how to do it.
Start the download. It will take a LONNNNNNNG time to start the install. When the green goes about half way across "installing", it will have a pop-up that tells you it cannot be loaded onto this computer. IMMEDIATELY shut down the computer. Wait one minute and restart it and the program will be loaded.
I have used this program for many years and if I could only have ONE, this would be it. It not only edits my photos, but it makes my greeting cards and anything else I want to make. Just thought I'd share that with y'all!
Stay safe. Be happy. be blessed.

I don't know. Never had a Mac. Wish I could help.

Thanks for the tip!
You're quite welcome. I hope it works with many other programs I see people having trouble loading.
Good tip, will hopefully keep it in mind. Or should i write it down.

Well most people do not use MAC, so.......
I tried your suggestion and it would not load. Tried versions 9 &10.
Agree that it is a great program.
I keep an old laptop around loaded with Windows 7 for all those programs that refuse to install on Windows 10 - mostly programs I like using which have either been discontinued or the later versions are no longer freeware.
You can set Win10 to run legacy programs. I don't know if it will run ALL legacy programs or not but evidently quite a few. Look in HELP or GOOGLE it!
One of the main problems is it tries to install IE6. The logging out while the error message saying it can't install gets around the problem of it trying to install a really old version of IE.
