B.I.L. was not happy that I never gave him a print or something for ages...

Well, he has his wish. His going to get a 49x24 inches for his wall...

I just hope it does not give him nightmares.

I used a company located in Germany, but that has also foot in the US and France: White wall.

At first, I was leery, so I called the French lab. There I had a ... who gave me all types of misinformation, so I called the US number and was greeted by "Good afternoon!". It was 7:00 am in Pensacola.

The number was answered from Germany and all doubts were removed. Turns out the lab in France does not print anything, it is just a 'presence'. Everything for the European market is printed in Germany and shipped from there. The shipping was cheap, really cheap, compared to the US: $40.00. I paid $70.00 shipping for my last print, shipped from California. As to the print price, on aluminum, it was almost the same.

So now I am waiting for him to call all upset because it is too big!!! (It is not according to my sister who is tired of having a white wall in their new residence...)

------------
Little story... We switched to French and while conversing with the man he went 'merde!' because he could find something. I said: You must be French (he had no accent). No, I am from Belgium. Anyway, just a little detail that proves it was a jaded robot on the other end of the line.

I have to thank Longshadow for finding this lab. I would not have found this nugget if it was not for him.

The title of your post seemed to infer that YOU had printed the picture?? Just sayin'. I also thought you were a Pro' Photographer, from previous postings. Perhaps I was mistaken.

Yes - When I need something larger than A4 I always go to WhlteWall - they do a fantastic job and ship in a good strong tube with a quick turn around. Fair pricing structure too.

A pro photographer is not necessarily more knowledgeable or more competent than an enthusiast. It's just the money thing that's different, and for that reason, often more expensive equipment.

I'm surprised everyone on this site doesn't know of WhiteWall. They have full-page ads in every photography magazine I've looked at over the past few years. They are often noted as the finest photo lab around.

Don't be we are creatures of habits, so we rarely look elsewhere when we are happy (complaisant) with what we have.

I only found out about them only because I was looking to print something to be delivered in Europe, even then my search was too narrow, and it took Longshadow post to make me discovered whitewall.

I’ve also used White Wall for acrylic blocks. They came out great, and shipped from Germany. Ironically, I was searching on White House CC, and that’s how I found White Wall.
