I was thinking about checking into having my ISO bearings replaced or at least checked. Does anyone know how many photons they can absorb before they need service? Can I just have them cleaned, or do I have to get new ones? Or is it the noise that primarily clogs them up?

I've always read that ISO has a bearing on noise, so it made me wonder even where these bearings are located? I've always assumed it was similar to dual pixel technology, where it is embedded in the sensor array. I know it has to do with the deep well capacity of the photosites, so the bearings must be at the bottom of the well? Do full frame cameras need the bearings changed less often because they have greater well capacity?

I am looking for a cloud backup service and have read many good things about Backblaze.

Is your dissatisfaction because you want to be able to find and retrieve individual files from cloud storage the way you do that with files stored on your computer?

I don't know enough about it yet, but I don't think Backblaze is designed for that. I think it's for backing up your files in the cloud and you get everything back in one restore package if and when you need it. Others please correct me if I'm wrong...

Yes, either as a package of a whole disk. I lost part of my 2019 folder and was able to retrieve what I lost and restore it.

I don't have the problem right now in my catalog, but I've encounter something like what you've described where I've moved images around after import. Try these two additional investigations:

1. In the grid view, right click the image and select 'show in explorer'. This will take you to the folder via the operating system. Confirm the file resides where LR thinks it resides on disk.

2. Somewhat similar, right click the image and select 'show in folder'. If I remember my problem from the last occurrence, the issue was a 'lingering' image in folder that I was no longer using and the file no longer resided in that folder. I deleted / removed the folder entry from the Library catalog to resolve.

If the two ideas above don't help to determine the cause, you can go to the all photos view of the catalog, right click the image, and select remove and just remove from the catalog, when prompted. You should then be able to re-import.

Here's the picture.

This is a composite picture made with layers in PS. George Lepp has an old article in Outdoor Photography describing the technique.

Now I have it as straight as a pretzel and everything is clear as thick mud.

I'll just take your word for it. Having seen stacked photos compared with single photo macro shots, I can see there is a big difference and stacking works.

Yes, the SanDisk - Extreme PRO 64GB SDXC UHS-I Memory Card will do you well. I use the extreme pro cards and have for years. They are great.
