Looking for feedback regarding photo storage on the cloud
Specifically, what system do you judge the easiest to utilize for the purpose of storing JPEG and RAW images

Pretty much anything that utilizes a automatic backup of your files, a simple set it and forget it backup system, at that point it is a matter of costs.
Right now my cloud backup is Amazon Prime photo - free with prime subscription.
Thanks. I am a subscriber to Backblaze and have "endless" problems finding the files that I have sent.
I have reloaded the same files multiple times, and then they disappear
Also, it would be great to actually speak to a "human being" at their service center
Can you send files from your external harddrive or just individul images using Amazon Prime?

An image is a file...not sure what you are asking.
With prime, each file is uploaded to Amazon. If it is a file type that they accept as an image, it is stored and the space used is not counted, if it is a file type that they do not support as an image, then it is stored and the space used is counted and subtracted from the 5 GB of free non-image space they allow.

First off, you really want something that stores
everything, not just your photos.
I have been using CrashPlan for several years now. I like it because it’s automatic and will store things from several disks. It stores versions so if a file gets corrupted it doesn’t overwrite an older uncorrupted file. It works in the background and doesn’t take up resources noticeably.
I have it set up to store both to the cloud and to a local disk. On the few occasions I have had to restore something I used the local disk. That way I did not encounter any bandwidth problems.
I have tried restoring from the cloud also and although it takes a bit longer it worked with no problem. But if you need something while the internet is out it’s nice to have the local storage available.

For Carbonite, there are preset directories that it backs up, but you can add selected directories.
I have it backing up all my docs, PDFs, spreadsheets, HTML files, etc.
It's all automatic, no "sending" files. Add or change a file in a backed up directory, Carbonite backs it up in minutes, add another directory, it gets backed up also. Backups are encrypted.
It even has little "dot" indicators in Windows Explorer to show what is backed up and what is pending.

Lots of people confuse files with folders/directories...
The important thing is an automated system to backup what you want, that runs on a schedule once setup, so you never need to send or remember to send anything.
Prime scans folders for changes in files and automatically uploads them if they have changed. The original file, and all versions of the changed file are maintained at Amazon for downloading if/when needed.
FWIW: versions of the changed file are renamed with the date of re-upload appended to the file name, so it might be a little confusing at first.

I am looking for a cloud backup service and have read many good things about Backblaze.
Is your dissatisfaction because you want to be able to find and retrieve individual files from cloud storage the way you do that with files stored on your computer?
I don't know enough about it yet, but I don't think Backblaze is designed for that. I think it's for backing up your files in the cloud and you get everything back in one restore package if and when you need it. Others please correct me if I'm wrong...

Depends...
Carbonite lets you restore one file, ten files or any number you wish to restore.
I've no idea how the others work.
(The OLD, old
DOS or Windows backup was either restore all or nothing.)

Yes, either as a package of a whole disk. I lost part of my 2019 folder and was able to retrieve what I lost and restore it.
