You did not say what she would be doing; dance, music, acting, etc. But performance venues usually prohibit flash as they often affect the performers. In dance, that is especially the case. So leave your flash in the bag until after performance picture.time.

One of thr problems with 3rd party inks is that some printers require cartridges have a chip imbedded and their company cartridges are made to preclude refilling. Epson is famous for this.

Am I correct in assuming the problem is the extent to which the ambient lighting affects what you perceive on the computer monitor? It is fairly obvious that reflected ambient light mixes with the monitor emitted light, so that the closer the ambient light spectrum matches natural light the less the monitor colors might be modified. Color management is one of the most complicated subjects in the computer field. This is not the place to delve into the intricacies of the subject, but there is no dearth of written treatises on the subject. When fiddling with images in software one vital step is the erase color casts. To take oneself out of the process is to use a cookbook method in, fir example, Photoshop in the Curves adjustment eyedroppers. This is fully explained in most Kelby books. But the core requirement is the subject must have something that was real white and something else real black. If not, now you have to go with your gut and room ambient light raises its ugly head.

Would contacts be a feasible solution to the problem.

Did you get the surgery in just one eye and did you get a lens implant. If yes, have you compared something that is supposed to be white with each eye alone. When I did that what looked white in the un-lens-implant eye looked quite dirty yellow in the lens-implanted eye. Also, when the job was done I could get along without glasses except for special situations. You are going to get much more enjoyment out of your photography now. Good luck.

One big issue is that either the camera or the phone may detatch and fall. It is not mechanically stable. Also, I believe there is a physical interference that requires the phone to not have a protective case.

Steveg48's remark is the absolute deal breaker for me. Together the two represent over a grands investment - this dropsy-breaksy has just relieved all GAS. Thanks, Steve.

got to say, that camera is as ugly as ugly gets :)

Well, this just cries out for having a "camera beauty contest." Who will be the the first to march their favorite down the runway (to fame).

Color and brightness. If a spot has RGB of 31:134:220 the inverse is (255-31):(255-134):(255-220) = 224:121:35 .

The 'right paragraph mark' 'colon' 'left paragraph mark' gave the grumpy face. Sorry. The inverting result was bizarre and funny to me for about 30 seconds. Glad I asked permission.

Did a Hog search on DxO and got a lot software type posts and a couple on the One. Then I trotted over to Amazon and checked the few reviews. Biggest downer is the fixed focal length lens (1.8).

Today's B&H enews came where there is a review of Stylish Cameras. Can a scene be turned into a "great" photo with anything but a stylish camera !

It'll be carrying a Sigma 150-600 Contemporary, my Christmas gift to myself. I went to a local photo expo where there were Sigma reps, but they would only drop the price $50. They had better deals on older lenses like the 18-250, but were stingy on newer models. Online, I was able to get a bundle with extra goodies like a monopod, lens cleaning kit and few other things. Hoping this satisfies my most recent bout with GAS for awhile...

GAS is like pimples, it always comes back. Only one solution - change hobbies only not to wood working.

Not everyone aspires to your definition. Most of us take pictures for our own pleasure. My subjects are my children and animals. My friends think I take some of the best puppy pictures of our breed of anyone they know. I record all the charming moments of their lives for my and my friends pleasure, using good lighting, framing, cropping, timing and camera angles to capture the joy of their expressions. Knowing and loving your subject is the key to being good at fulfilling one's photographic objectives. After that it is simply learning how to use what you have to get what you want - modest though that may be. I don't accept the label IWAC just because I am not a professional. I am an AMATEUR - a lover of what I do, and I do it rather well.

Does your dog breed has its own FB page/group where you can show off your masterpieces. I don't think I have ever seen a 'bad' dog picture. They have more personality than that.
