Yes there are. I hope to fill them before I die.

Woke up at 2 am and could not sleep, so I made this.
Started with a landscape photo and tried to express how my brain felt.

I have the Tamron. Those Nikkor photos of the Grand Canyon sold me. Those are great.

Thanks, has a great time using the 10/24 in the GC. I like to change to it and look for new perspectives. I love it.

I also use and love the Tamaron 18-270. Great lense.

Hello!

I have been doing a lot of research and it looks like i've come to the following conclustions. I am interested to see how noticable the 'softness' and 'distortion' is compared to eachother.

If you have a Nikon 10-24mm, Tamrom 10-24 or Sigma 10-20 could you please post a few example photos?

Thanks!

Ooops!!! Sorry, I should have given more details. I will be flying into Sacromento to stay with my daughter and her family about 40 miles west of there. We want to go to the beach of course!! And maybe to Reno, LA, etc. I've been to Oregon alot and loved it there, but not to Califormia. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

What you list cannot be done in a week. You could easily spend a week taking pictures in the Sacramento area. In the Sacramento area beside the wilderness photography, there is old town Sacramento, the Train Museum, Downtown Folsom. The Sacramento River Trail. Google Sacramento.

The list for LA is even larger.

As I said I have LR4, but find Picasa as an easy way to find photo's, upload to the web and share with friends. I do not use it for any other purpose or editing. I use LR4 and Photoshop Element 10 for that.

I find Picasa quite useful, I use Lightroom to download and reprocess. I use Photoshop Elements 10 for editing Jpegs. I use Picasa to keep track of all my photos, however I use the Folder manager tool to select which folder it selects, updates and displays pictures from. This I think is what you need to do. Go to the Folder manager tool and select what you what Picasa to do.

I would love to have a D7000 or D800 that was still photo only. Does anyone else feel the same way?
Simpler menu, lower price, focus on photo features.

You are doing it right. It is better to be self taught.

I started with a Wang computer that was a modified IBM Selectric. Programing was with switches for 0's and 1's. Programs were stored on a cassete tape.

I loved Windows XP set in Classic mode. I now have Windows 7 on my laptop and I like it. Again I have customized W7 to the way I like it.
My wife suffered with Windows ME several years ago and then Vista. I feel she is owed pain and suffering money from Microsoft.

I save my DNG files and edited files in the same folder using Lightroom. When I upload to Picasa on the web so I can share my photos I would like to easily select only the JPG files. What do I do?

I use a BlackRapid RS-5, saves my neck and allows me to move and climb about without the camera swinging from my neck.
