While I have done Adobe Photoshop, it's been a long time. Since I am just getting back into this, I'd prefer to hold off on making a major investment.

I've been playing with some free programs, the last being Pixlr. There's so much on the web that it gets overwhelming, so I thought I'd throw it out to all of you to get your opinions.

Since I have a lot on my plate, I would prefer a solid program but one that doesn't involve a steep learning curve.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My favourite programs are Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Luminar Neo. Adove offers pretty affordable monthly subscription and Neo is rather cheap for what it offers.

When you go to the zoo, you go there to see the animals. Not other humans. Used the Photoshop Remove Tool to remove them. Hope I didn't hurt their feelings.

How did you remove the wire fence? I tried to do it in my image but no luck.

Hi all,
I need your advice on Nikon Z lens's for travel to Israel. Thanks in adavance!

Photographing in Israel is no different from photographing in any European country, for example. You don't need special lens and they don't have to be kosher 😊. I lived in Israel for many years and used my camera regularly (although it was a film camera back then). I suggest you take with you Z 24-200, it's an excellent travel lens, very sharp and fast focussing. If you have Z7, you can always switch into DX mode for a longer reach. If you plan to do some low light or night shooting, I recommend Z 28mm f2.8. It's small, light and sharp. My recommendations based on personal experience - I know the country and own both lenses.

This was a combo that brought me into the Nikon camp 5 years ago after 35 years with Pentax. I bought it used from someone who probably switched to mirrorless. Great camera and an excellent lens! I enjoyed it for a year and a bit doing studio work and then sold it and switched to mirrorless Nikons myself.

While on subject, I wonder if somebody knows the answer to this question. When GPS in my car shows the time of arrival at the destination, what speed is used for this calculation - the posted speed limit on the road or the actual speed I am driving at?

I like my chicken soup with consommé noodles and a matzoh ball. Not those hard stones that come out of a jar. I make mine fluffy and soft using seltzer.
For tomato soup, I like some rice in it. But that is how I roll!

Yes! Chicken soup - a Jewish penicillin!

For 75 years I thought I was a man but, according to this list, I am either not a man or just pretending to be one. I do nothing mentioned in the list. 🙄

<Understanding Engineers 2
To the optimist, the glass is half-full. To the pessimist, the glass is half-empty.
To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.>

The glass is always full - it contains some liquid and the rest is air.

So, am I an exception? I can both spell and write correctly. Graduated in 1972 :)

Personally, I purchased a Pentax “Super Program” in 1983 and used it as my primary camera for 12-plus years, then it became my backup, then I kind of forgot I still had it. I have started using it again, and it is like I temporarily stopped using it last week. The LCD is weak, but no worse than it was in late 1995….

I have a similar story. I, too, purchased my first Pentax camera - Super Program, in 1983. I later replaced it with Z1-p, my favorite, which I will never sell. In 2003 I got *istD, the first Pentax DSLR and, since then, I switched to digital photography.
