Photographing in Israel is no different from photographing in any European country, for example. You don't need special lens and they don't have to be kosher 😊. I lived in Israel for many years and used my camera regularly (although it was a film camera back then). I suggest you take with you Z 24-200, it's an excellent travel lens, very sharp and fast focussing. If you have Z7, you can always switch into DX mode for a longer reach. If you plan to do some low light or night shooting, I recommend Z 28mm f2.8. It's small, light and sharp. My recommendations based on personal experience - I know the country and own both lenses.

That's a good deal. For $100 less, you can get the 24-200mm f/4.0 It works well for me on a Z6 II. I imagine the sun will be shining in Israel.

Lightest would be the 24-120mm Æ’/4 with a 1.4 z extender.

My traveling kit for non photo specific trips is Z 24-120 and 14-30…and I'll add the 100-400 and the 1.4TC if there might be some more distant things. Wildlife specific trips get the 400/4.5 either in addition to or instead of the 100-400.

I know the extender won't work, but is there a specific reason that the lens won't work on a Z camera? I have two of them, both AF-S G lenses with an internal focus motor.

It's exactly the lens I would take (if not an S)) equivalent) if I were trying to travel light.
