I hope he does not buy one because he'll start posting his symphonies! Yuk!! Ukulele Symphonies!!
Mark

Ukulele Symphonies are wonderful. My daughter is a music teacher at St. Bernard’s Catholic Academy. She has an entire group of the little snotters playing these delightful works of music.

Does anyone know of an off brand battery that will replace the Canon LP-E17 and fits the Canon R8?

FWIW: I am very reluctant to buy third party batteries. I am afraid that they might leak and destroy the camera contacts. If it is an aftermarket brand, I will take it out after a shoot!

I haven't heard anything from Regis. Also, did "Cheers and Beers" get kicked off UHH again?

If you are referring to Graham Thirkill he decided to not associate with us old coots. I still keep in touch with him even though he is in England. He has a few grandchildren now and is having the time of his life.
Just because his jokes were too spicy for some of us. We send each other a whole bunch of rib ticklers and down right gut busters!

Some of our dear UHH family who have died in the past 10 years…

Do you know of others?

Of all those who has passed away, I will miss Mr. Bob Malarz.

No! You see the A-1 has a grip and the AE-1 doesn't. I think the AE-1P has the grip too.

Oh Well, I guess I’m out of the competition. It was fun playing!

In most camera reviews these days, the reviewer mentions the grip that the camera has…...

I’m not sure if this qualifies. On my Canon AE-1 the right hand had a battery cover on the right.

A lot of people, especially women, got ahead by "multi-tasking"

Men cannot multitask. We cannot drive a car and put on makeup.

Amen to that!

SO MOTE IT BE!

All to many people feel that if they can do a “thing,” they are an accomplished person. Let’s look at a guitar player. A person can pick up the guitar and learn to play. That doesn’t mean he can join a group tomorrow. A person can buy a camera and think they are a master. First you need to lean basics. Then you need to read the manual. Then you need to practice days on end for years. Maybe you will be notable a couple of years from now!

Unfortunately in some cases parents can’t make that distinction. This is not the only example of that.

The only gratifying example I can offer was my wife’s and my encouragement to have our children go to college.
My daughter learned to be a music teacher and is now doing what she loves at a wonderful school. My son is an engineer and very happy with the firm

Not at all fun and games for us. It was a tough road for all but we now reap some of the rewards.

Since no one mentioned it, I would like to mention that a favorite music group (Pink Floyd) produced a album entitled Dark Side of the Moon. The songs that were recorded are equally enigmatic.

The evolution picture has generated lots of humorous versions.

Could you imagine if people were able to carry a television or a computer or a book and use it while walking. What a wonderful device that……

I guess everyone is used to multi-tasking every aspect of their lives. People from my planet are incapable of doing that!
