I don't understand how you can have all this equipment and have the need to ask what goes where and what should I use.

Your lack of understanding doesn't excuse your rudeness. If you can't be helpful, just stay silent. We would all appreciate it.

Will this help? At least, from rain and sun and may be, even wind.

I'd like one of those to cover my bald spot, which seems to suffer more than my camera and lenses on hot days.

I have On 1 and Lumniar. Both run take a while to load, but once loaded they both run quickly and without problems. On 1 has more features (more control) and a larger learning curve, but Luminar's features are easy to use and work very well. I tend to use Luminar for easy touchups and On 1 when I want explicit control over every part of the post-process. Both programs are gpu and memory intensive, so your equipment makes a huge difference.

If Hwawei opens a camera subsidiary, I believe a lot major camera companies will go bankruptcy.
And we can mothball our collections of gears.
Do you find this is true, scary, or fiction?

Not true, not scary, product is not fiction (although your prognostications are fiction). Take any other product and you can make the same invalid prediction. The Lamborghini Aventador at $400,000 is a good deal in the supercar world, but I'm absolutely sure that Ford isn't going to go out of business because the Aventador exists... and I wouldn't trade my pickup truck straight across for an Aventador.

You know, I just wouldn't worry about crap like this.

Cameras are cameras. They're all similar (lens, aperture, shutter, light sensitive medium...), and they're all different in the ways they work.

New technologies come and go. Some stick around. Some fade away. Some disappear.

The dSLR will eventually fade to its appropriate level of market interest. If it fades far enough, the manufacturers will quit making them and only the used market will supply them.

Meanwhile, let's all go out and use what we have! It's more important to use a camera than it is to brag, worry, debate, or whine about it.

Thank you for this moment of complete sanity! The world changes, technology changes, but Ansel Adams and Annie Leibovitz produce(d) photographs that surpass nearly all of us. This is about the photograph, not the tool.

Bought it, used it for awhile, now it sits in a drawer. I prefer Nikons Snap Bridge. It works better and is MUCH faster functionally.

Except there does not seem to be a way to use SnapBridge if you are using a different brand of camera than a Nikon, so information on alternatives is always a helpful discussion.

I some questions I would be glad you could help me:
- What do you mean by "10X magnification for each new focus"? TIA!

The 10x manification is a Canon feature (may also exist on other brands) that lets you zoom in on the LED screen when shooting "Live View" so you can get a very sharp focus through the LED display. Your actual camera and lense settings don't change (other than any changes you make in focusing).

Have Photoshop elements 2018 and Topaz Studio. Thinking on getting the deal with photoshop, Lightroom cc and Lightroom classic for $10/month mainly so I can get my photos on different pc's and phone. Is it worth it? I'm just an amateur trying to fill my time. Thanks in advance

I worked with PhotoShop for decades, when it was really the only choice for high-end post-processing. I recently switched to Affinity, and even without the decades of skills developed with PhotoShop I find Affinity easier to use, some features I like better, and equal in features to PhotoShop. My experience, ymmv.

I run a Windows 10 64-bit operating system with an Intel i7 processor, 32 GB of memory, 1 terabyte SSD hard drive, 2 terabyte HDD for photo storage and a nVidia 4GB graphics adapter. I have absolutely no problems running any software programs and the processing of AI Gigapixel and Sharpen AI run fairly quickly...

I run exactly the same hardware and did not notice any slowness at all.

The photogrophers are professional film makers (they received the Oscar for Free Solo) and did the shots while hanging from fixed ropes. They were careful to not be close enough to Alex to break his concentration, and limited the filming. The photographers are also very skilled climbers and worked with Alex for eight years leading up to this filming. In addition to the photographers on fixed ropes there was also some drone footage, but limited (again, to not distract Alex). Rock and Ice magazine has an interview with Elizabeth "Chai" vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin at https://rockandice.com/features/chai-vasarhelyi-on-the-making-of-free-solo-with-alex-honnold/.

They sometimes sell USA products from Canon, and sometimes sell grey market (international, no warranty or users manual). As of today, their Canon EOS products are all internations ("grey market") which sometimes causes waranty repair issues. Check other times and you will fin USA products, but at a higher cost. They are a Canon dealer and can sell both USA and international products.

All SSDs have limited number of write cycles. This number will generally give you a drive life at least equal to a good quality hard drive. The issue for most people is that they fail to set up their computer to use an SSD drive rather than a normal hard drive. This things like defragmenting an SSD will shorten it's life span as the defragging uses some of the finite write cycles when defragmenting the drive or individual files. Some people have their OS set up to defrag on a regular cycle, and every defrag of an SSD drive shortens it's life span.

In general SSDs have a life span as long as a normal magnetic hard drive, but you need to set your computer, operating system, and software to know that the drive is an SSD drive, or the maintenance that is usual for a hard drive will significantly lessen the lifespan of an SSD by using the the write cycles for maintenance activities not intended for an SSD.

At a certain point (depending on how and what you shoot) you can have too many pixels - when shooting zoom with no tripod, or moving the camera VERY slightly can cause image blur when you increase your sensor pixel count. I find at 25 megapixels I can shoot (handheld with plenty of time) with a 175 fully zoomed and get clear, sharp results. At 50 megapixels I have to move to a tripod (and sometimes a remote release) to prevent camera movement from causing blur. The more pixels the greater sensitivity to movement, all other things being equal.

Exactly. The last thing you want is a "tool" that has limitations that exceed the user's limitations. Why make it more difficult to create the image that you want to create.
