Thank you. All I really want is a remote shutter release from the phone/camera link. After my experiences I would never trust wifi to do anything with my photos. Again I want to thank everyone who tried to help, this was UHH at its best.

I used the Nikon (WMU) app to change the properties of the 'default' network that came with the camera. The default (192.168.0.0/192.168.0.1) network is the same default network that is set up everywhere. If you are trying to get this to work in any area where a 'default' network is your set up will not work at all. Most home routers start with this same network. I changed my 'camera' network to something that will not conflict with my home network, or used somewhere else.
I used the app to change my network properties in the camera and then removed it. There are some odd properties of the app, like it needs to run all the time. In my case, that wasn't good. I use the wireless to connect to a Galaxy Tab S3 and use Helicon Remote. Works great.
I used the Nikon (WMU) app to change the propertie... (show quote)

Thank you, and thank all of you who tried to help. I moved the camera out of range of my home wifi and everything works fine. Weird!!!

Yes to all and many other sources as well. One thing I do understand is that that there is absolutely NO CORRELATION between how syncing is done between iphone/d7200 or Cannon and any smart device.

I want to use the wifi features on my D7200 but I can't find an app for my Android phone that will sync with the camera. Any suggestions for finding an app and any experienced advice on using wifi features of the D7200 will be appreciated.

I'm still asking for help. There are apparently some major differences between syncing to an iPhone vs an Android device. I tried Goggle but it seems that they believe all photographers use iPhones. Is there anyone in UHH land who (a) uses a Nikon 7200 (b) uses an Android cell phone and (c) has had success linking his/her cellphone to their D7200?

I think it's too yellow for a Baltimore Oriole they tend to be more orange. I am about 90% sure it is an Orchard Oriole.

Great shots, sharpness leaves nothing to be desired. The bird on the wire is a Meadowlark weather it is Eastern or Western would depend on where you saw it and/or field marks not visible in the photo. I suggest the Sibley Guide to Birds, available in both hard copy or as a download for both Android or iPhone.

I spent from 1963 to 1965 living in a tent 3 miles from the entrance of Everglades National Park. Cuban Missile Crises don't you know. No camera, couldn't afford one on Army Pay.

I was 19 then and spent the majority of my off duty time in the 'glades, fishing, birding and exploring the back country. The Everglades have two basic ecosystems, not counting Florida Bay: Pay-Hay-Okee, The River Of Grass, the flat sawgrass, freshwater habitat home to alligators and the salt water mangrove swamps home to the Manatee and American Crocodile.

Air boats were prohibited in the Park so if you explored the fresh water areas you did it by wading from hammock to hammock. The hammocks were the exciting areas, birds, sometimes White-tailed Deer, tree snails and mosquitos, millions and millions of mosquitos! In the winter, as water levels dropped, wading birds concentrated at 'gator holes. Snakes? I never saw a Water Moccasin the whole time I was there but rattlesnakes by the ton.

Bird rookeries were still declining in 1963 due to lack of water. I went to the heron, egret, wood stork and Roseate Spoonbill rookeries. To me they were impressive but my guides told me "you should have seen them in the old days"

Canoeing the mangrove swamps in the summer when the water was high in the grasslands was a whole different world. The main channels were well marked but getting into the side channels was like a maze. The risk of getting lost was real and I did more than once. This was the area of Manatees, all kinds of tasty fish and the American Crocodile (I never saw one--still haven't).

The Park has changed over the years. The water problem has been partially resolved. Visitation has increased putting increased pressure on the ecosystem. Exotic, invasive species, continue to be an increasing problem. It will never again be the park I remember, just as it wasn't the park the old timers knew.
