Great shot. Talk about a catch-22.
I would bet he had to go swimming with the fishies to avoid going hungry. How did it turn out?

Bears are quite adept at catching the salmon as they jump over the waterfalls.

Looks can be deceiving like the alligator if you get too close they can show you that's a big mistake. Very nice shots, thanks for sharing them.

When did you take this shot? If it's recent that bear is in serious trouble and probably won't make it through the winter. The thin coat with the visible tail is not normal. Despite being able to catch multiple fish as you said, he looks skinny to me. He is either sick or old or both. You got some good photos of a bear in serious distress.
