I, too, am so sorry for your loss and feel your pain. The days I've lost beloved pets have easily been among my worst ever. I think about all of ours often and feel blessed to have had such terrific companions.

This sounds a lot like another show called "Overhaulin'", which was filmed in CA.

How about posting a photo of the M&P store sometime? I love to shop at places like that!

Really nice! Who ever thought it was a good idea for people to live eighty years and dogs to live fifteen? That is the cruelest of cruel jokes!!

Yep.

I think you're right about the meteor or a super volcano eruption. Those events are too far off. It's human behavior that will do us in. People have chosen to pollute the air and water and to use toxic chemicals for everything. The oceans are full of plastic, and that plastic is even in us, now. Look how we handled Covid-19. With all of our technology, it is still with us. The 1918 Flu lasted between one and one and a half years (maybe two), depending on what source you want to use. We've already gone three years with Covid, and we're heading into our fourth.

Earth's biggest problem is the human race, but I don't think it will have to put up with us much longer. Our problem is behavior, not numbers. Other species were wiped out by natural disasters. In our case, we are our own natural disaster.

I've seen a couple of articles in the last year or so that theorize we're now in the beginning stages of a sixth mass extinction.

Mankind will not go extinct from a meteor strike. It will suffer a slow painful extinction as we drown in our own filth from polluting our waters. As the population increases and consumption increases, the rate of polluting the world's waters increases. When we tip the balance between the rate at which we pollute and the rate at which nature can clean the water...life on earth is doomed.

Give this a thought. There are some eight billion people on earth today. If each person poops two pounds a day, that's 16 billion pounds of poop x 365 days in a year = 5.84 trillion pounds of people poop yearly. Now, add to that poop from all other animals on earth and you will soon come to realize that we live in a shitty world..!😜

I went without renewing my subscription for about a month, but finally relented - at least this time - to avoid losing about a third of the screen space to the "reminders". To make matters worse, the installation on my PC has become very glitchy. I cannot get it to download transactions on my Bank of America Visa or the local bank checking account. And, with the frequent updates, the installation of these updates became very troublesome because Quicken doesn't play well with Carbonite, my cloud backup. Of course, Quicken support was no help at all and passed the buck by blaming Carbonite. I have many programs installed on my PC and have not had one, single problem installing updates with Carbonite running.

If I can find ANY reasonable alternative, I'm done with Quicken and their never ending glitches.

They have convenient flights, but I’ve personally had too many SW flights cancelled over the years, so I wouldn’t fly them anymore, especially after this debacle.

Actually, one of the best benefits of being retired is not having to deal with unpleasant experience air travel has become. Even if you’re an experienced traveler and know all the tricks, it’s still a Royal PIA. I would like to get back to Europe one more time, but lacking that, if I never get on another commercial flight, it will be too soon for me.

In the last couple of years, I've started to see Duracell batteries leaking more often - some that aren't even all that old. Now, I check installed batteries more often and, in some cases, remove the batteries entirely until needed. In one case, a leaking Duracell ruined a remote garage door keypad. So I wrote to whoever makes Duracell and complained. To their credit, after providing some documentation that they asked for, they sent me a $35 check for the cost of a replacement.
