I've got a monopod for sale. It's a heavy duty Manfrotto 679 Monopod. No longer need it as I've upgraded to carbon fiber.
No dings, minimal scratches, flip locks that work very well.
I'm looking for $35.00 + shipping.
I've got 100% on ebay under "twocatsphotos".
email if you have questions.
I've got five bags that I use regularly.
My main bag is a Pelican Softside Rolling carry-on which carries just about everything that I may ever need. This goes in the trunk of the car and I work out of it.
I've got two shoulder type bags. A Lowepro Nova 4 and Nova 5.
I pick one based on my immediate needs.
I've got a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home that I rarely use. It will soon go up for sale.
I've also got a small sling bag that I use from time to time when hiking.
My personal preference is Ilford Gallerie Pearl. It's a luster finish. Somewhere between glossy and matte. I use if framed with no glass. Looks great.
Not in the Everglades but close: Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary just north of Naples. It is usually well worth the trip.
I use a Dell Ultra Sharp 2209 AW which is great.
It is easily calibrated with my Spyder 3 Elite.
They are less than $300 on EBay.
I get my mats, backers & bags from www.documounts.com. My frames come from www.jerrysartarama.com. Between the two, I don't have to go anywhere else.
The only camera to strut around with is a digital Hasselblad. I believe it's about 50 megapixels but you don't have to be concerned, or even know, about those things. The camera is really, really impressive.
Good luck and don't forget to take some time out to rest.
A good starting point for pricing is "Materials X 5."
24Hr special at B&H Photo. starts today 2/15/12
Sounds like you may have a slower older card in your camera. It appears that it's taking a long time for the images to get from the cameras buffer to the PC card. Check our manual to see what the fastest card is that the camera will accept, then go buy one.
I would be cautious about ordering from this place. They do not appear in the ResellerRatings.com database. That means they are probably a brand new site with no track record.
More better?
I added space to the right and removed a bit from the left due to the shape of the tree.
I prefer this version over the original.
Woke up to find fog all over the place.
Grabbed my camera and went hunting.
Found a tree by the river.
Enjoy.
Better do your homework. There is no ferry from Bar Harbor to Nova Scotia anymore. It stopped a couple of years ago. You'll have to drive.
There is plenty to see on Mt Dessert Island to keep you busy for quite a few days. i try to get up there annually. It's a lot quieter (fewer tourists) before 4th of July and after Labor Day.
Just Google Bar Harbor and you'll find loads of stuff.
Have a good trip.
