What about the models predicting Global Warming? We've been told those models are settled science.

In fact, I think we are all enjoying our free 60 day trial of the Green New deal now.

Likely about as good as the virus estimates, with greater order of magnitude errors because of the more complex climate system.

Numbers at such a high level are meaningless. According to Dr. Birx the data should be viewed at the county level. Baldwin County Alabama is 2,027 square miles with a population of 223K (outside of tourist season). Compare that to NYC. Population density and distancing much more effective in Baldwin County (and many others) than even remotely possible in NYC. Time to manage at a different level. State is still too high.

USAF - I commuted to work 2 x week for 3 1/2 years on a Huey. Sat up front with pilot many times, cool view.
Lots of stories.

My memories though mainly are hot or cold, very noisy, but always safe. Never could miss that sound.

We have social distancing, going on 19 days now. Not shut down, but restaurants not serving and few are doing take out. Have to search for take out.
We live in a warm climate, been in 80's for last few weeks, so lots of opportunity for outside work. Got all of my spring planting done, fortunately Lowes and HD are essential. Grocery shopping requires more than one stop, it's like a search.
We have a Miata, so many days we go out in the Miata for a top down sanity ride.
Taking time to clean up in prep for moving in the fall.
Little TV, mostly just daily briefings.
Some writing to the politicians who are not heeding the guidelines of management at county level. Treating the entire state like NYC is an invitation to disaster when we have few cases and have been on social distancing for three weeks. Trying to stop the negative thoughts about football season :)
Well and happy.

Unless you are local these shots are meaningless, not iconic views. Sure you have your own.

These were shot on Dauphin St. the entertainment hub of downtown Mobile AL. Even on a Sunday evening the sidewalks would be full of walkers and lots of cars on the street. Restaurants busy and bars even more so.

Now and I guess for next 30 days, it's a ghost town.

Finished 15 days of "isolation" and will continue on. Daughter and her family started same time so we can see granddaughters.

We have been to grocery store and Lowes, but stayed away from people and wiped down carts. Lots more stuff was closed here today so there are few places to go. Golf course is open, with one person per cart limit and no taking out flags. Hope to visit one day next week.

We are not in lockdown and don't anticipate that. Lots of stuff closed.

We have been out in the Miata each of the last 3 days. Fresh air and sunshine is a great mental health boost!

Pictures are interesting. I hope it helps.

Drove on I 10 today for a few miles, beach closed and casino closed and NO shut down, no cars on interstate; there were quite a few trucks. Those truckers are keeping us alive now.

Inspires me to go downtown one evening and get some pics on the deserted roads.

We are not locked in, but restaurants closed, personal business (like haircuts etc) closed, schools and university closed.

I have an older model Logan, similar to 550. It's a bigger investment and does a great job. I learned to cut mats professionally, I can do anything with this machine I could with a higher end machine. It all depends on how much you are going to cut and what complexity. I do double and triple mats routinely, ez with the Logan. The machine must be 40+ years old and still works good. Make sure you use sharp blades, that's the key to good cuts.

In addition to aging population in Italy, the male population are smokers. A major contributor to problem. Females not so much and older females recovering.

My paternal and maternal family traces roots to Europe and to Germany in 1400s. Fun to trace geneaology.

Curious about sun position, I have a pic taken from almost same spot, late afternoon.
I assume that’s sun on right corner, camera facing kinda north East?
Thanks

The "flu" is an every-year occurrence. This is new, exotic and much hyped. I live in central WA. On Tuesday the Seattle area had 21 confirmed cases. That jumped to 39 on Wednesday and 70 today. It's hard not to worry.

Media is causing worry and panic. Had a 4 year old girl die from flu in our city last month. To date no children under 10 reported sick.

I don’t get it. High prices, limited range, limited chargers and slow fill up. We need long term alternate, don’t see Tesla as solution. If you only drive in a city/ short trips, I can see use, but not value. Lots of horror stories on maintenance. Interested to see what GM offers. Mining for battery minerals is long term iffy.
