I’m fully confident that you’ll muscle through. As for your marriage, I’m mildly pessimistic. If it were my marriage, I’d be too busy packing to even think about the odds.
Merry Christmas.
Good thing I didn’t tell her about the jewelry 😂
I ordered some nice jewelry for my wife. This is what they sent instead! You can't be too careful these days.
Boy, my eighth grade grammar teacher, with a red pen in hand, would have had a field day with that letter. It's no wonder these scams are so easy to spot.

Was it this? They say to type usa.canon.com/support directly into the address bar at the top of the browser, not into a search engine. Apparently fake support sites using Canon logo can pop up in the search.

That is exactly what it is (fake support sites). I had the very same experience as the OP. You can't let your guard down for even a second. What a shame that we live in a world where you have to be skeptical every moment just to protect yourself.

To johnec. I have never paid for an up grade since going from windows7 to Windows 10. Unlike Apple everything is a rip off price wise
That may be, but you had to pay to get to Windoze 7, and you'll have to pay to get to whatever comes after Windows 10. As for your "rip off price" statement, that's a matter of opinion. And you're entitled to yours.

I thought it was only Windows users had problems with OS or is it just put about by Apple,,ask Apple what happened to their Lion OS.It was so bad they rapidly brought out a replacement
Both operating systems written by humans, so both capable of faults. Big difference with MacOS, through all of the versions no Mac owners have paid a penny for upgrades. Bill Gates can’t make that same claim.
Huge issues yesterday with rollout, much of which has been attributed to server clogs. I couldn't d/l it during the day, but I did last night on both of my MacBook pros. It installed flawlessly on both once downloaded. Setup was no problem. I will say that not only do my machines boot faster (around 26 seconds on both) but my apps start up more quickly. This includes Lightroom and Affinity apps. I wasn't a happy camper yesterday, but all is well with the world now :-)
I don't know about the compatibility issue with ON1 Photo Raw.
Thanks for the tips. I always appreciate it when someone offers new suggestions so that we can see there are alternatives available. As for myself, over the last couple of years I have learned to use, and have become comfortable with Affinity Photo for editing photos and Final Cut Pro X for editing videos. I really like both of them.

so true. One can take wonderful images with "outdated" gear.
or terrible images with new and expensive gear. Which actually brings us back to the beginning of this thread. My original post was done 'tongue-in-cheek', simply because I found it funny, although it kind of touched a bit of truth. And I have come to the realization that, even though I have a long way to go to becoming even close to a decent photographer, it is for me a hobby that I really enjoy.
Although I want to learn and grow in proficiency, I just love going out to shoot pictures. Even when they turn our awful (which they do often), you know, it doesn't matter to me. I just love the act of taking the pictures. And for me that make the hobby (ies) of having gear and using it, both fun.

Hopefully, you don't have an attachment disorder. The only place old digital cameras belong is in the past ...
Not sure whether I have attachment disorder yet. None of them are old.
My oldest Nikon (meaning first one I bought) is the D7200, which still works great and is still going strong. I also have a D750 which I don't use very much anymore, but I love it for its low light capability. I will admit I have a hard time thinking about getting rid of that one.
