I’ve come to the conclusion that buying photography gear and using it are separate hobbies.

If you don't have a willingness to spend time in learning and practice, there's always the option of buying new equipment.

yeah, they have medication for that. I would have thought that the 'inner voice' of the 'successful photographer' would have said "you're fine; doesn't matter what anyone else has."
