Not the best alloy for a car, but works well in incendiary bombs and such.

Of course, that could be your artistic intent.

Just a quick pass through PSE 2020 gives this as an option.

Shoot mostly for the memories, which favorite preferences display on our two iMacs when not in use. In retirement and before we like to travel (we lived for two years in Germany), and have visited from Singapore to Vienna. Seldom do formal photography, and always have the camera with us.

The pumpkins might be for pumpkin seed oil, popular especially in Europe.

The thought of losing my 30,000+ photos keeps me in drives. On my iMac I use Apple's Time Machine for all my daily data and photos, then monthly also copy my originals to two other Tbyte drives. I use iPhoto (Photo) as an index of key-worded smaller files in smart folders to display them or acess my originals. Also, I load my latest Photo library onto my laptop from time to time.

So did you do this from the original, unprocessed image?

Yes, but took it into PSE14 as raw to advance the several points mentioned above.

I like this image. I liked it when I clicked, and when I first worked on it. Last Sunday my church used it as one of their background images. I didn't like it. The colours were all the same density and the whole image lost a lot of its punch. So I've reworked it. I started in LR, went to Topaz Sharpen, then to PS. (My programs are NOT the monthly payment ones.) I thought lightening up the trees along the bottom would do it, but no. I've increased the contrast and did some dodging in PS. I want to know if I've made it better, or just different and what else I might do to make it better.

Here's a quick attempt. Mostly a bit more contrast, less haze, and some saturation.

Fred,
I was just sorting the "Inventory" for a large scanning and memory book creation. Found "That" one with my son climbing at 12, over 40 years ago. Yes, the tree is gone, and my son, too, sad to say. But they were beautiful.

That's me on the tree, 1955, Yosemite. Late sister Eve took the photo with her Brownie.

Photos are for memories, among other purposes.

Nice. Reminds me of the one I climbed back in 1955, now long gone, up in Yosemite.

This is a great blue heron , I wasn't going to take the pic because I have so many, I am now glad I did. Reminds me of an old man with balding head.

Did you know?

Great Blue Herons have specialized feathers on their chest that continually grow and fray turning to a powder. these feathers do NOT molt. The herons comb this “powder with a fringed claw on their middle toes, using it like a comb. The powder helps remove slime from fish or from marshes keeping their feathers nice and clean.

I've lived amidst cotton fields for decades. It wasn't until recently that I actually started shooting them. This was today in the field across the road. They plan to pick it Monday.

Like best the last photo because it shows all phases, the flower, the bole, the cotton.

Was on a rerun: Devils Tower, Mt. Rushmore, Badlands one day, Grand Tetons and part of Yellowstone the next. We were on our way home to Mass from visiting family in Cali.
