Jeans in RAW

I've lived amidst cotton fields for decades. It wasn't until recently that I actually started shooting them. This was today in the field across the road. They plan to pick it Monday.

But if there isn't a field of blue dye whateveryoucalls'em plants close by, then how can they righteously be called 'jeans'? (I confess that I sort of preferred 'white' jeans back in the '60's, but expect to be buried [or preferably, unceremoniously dumped in a ditch] in a holey pair of faded blue denims when time comes for me to sluff this mortal coil.)
And as for the pix..... nice bolls. Very fluffy looking.

Interestingly I had ancestors who were "bluers." The bills in that field aren't huge, but they are well filled. Thanks.

True. Most agriculture is water intensive in Arizona. The only good thing is that it's going back into the ground.
