My horsemen friends the Allred Brothers raised a lot of cotton and fine horses for decades in Arizona. Their cotton fields are now long-gone and have been replaced by homes. But there will never be a replacement for horsemen like the Allreds.

For years, I would hear the phrase, "the fields are white unto harvest." I never knew what that meant until I came to Arizona! I wonder if one put blueing in the water. . . . Thanks.

So true, so true. They were good friends to me and to racing. What's really sad is that their ranch in town is gone. I hardly know where I am how when I drive down that street.
