Go to one of the computer builders website, where they give tons of options for you to Tailor your computer requirements and needs to your specifications and $$$$.

AVA Direct, PC builders, Origin PC, Cyber Power, Main Gear, to name a few . You will get a much better product for the money, one that is not proprietary where you swap parts later on for better, or more updated ones. With your HP, apple's, etc. You don't have as much options, if any, and way more expensive. When I got tired of keeping up with the technology building myself my own towers, I went the online builder's route. I just pick what I want from the list of compatible parts, and that's it.

According to Nikon's own literature, there is absolutely no logical connection between the two cameras. The Zf was named as a nod to the classic F series of film cameras. The Z fc got its designation as shorthand for "fashion camera." It was targeted to "beautiful people," influencers, and the like. I've not gone back to see if they have revised their material after discovering that a huge block of buyers were old men...

Regardless, if you have the Zfc camera in your hands it will most definitely "look" like a F series type camera. Not as hefty. Probably it also was a way to test the waters for a "classic" film looks on the the new Mirroless platform; which seems to have done great.

From what I understand young people are buying this camera, not just "old men". Which I think that in overall made Nikon to give the green light to go ahead with a FF sooner than I thought this time around. But, it's all speculations so far. Rumors seem strong though. Hope is all for real.

It seems that it will be a FF Zf. Other than that it's all "rumors" so far. I would buy one immediately.

I own the Df, and the Zfc. They are both capable, a pleasure to use cameras, so if Nikon comes with the FF Zf, I'd expect it to be a top notch camera. I just hope that it doesn't take too long to come out. It took long enough for Nikon to come out with the Df. They were kind of shy about it, specially after some negativity by idiots about it not having video; which was one of the reasons why of the camera concepts, and one of the reasons why I bought it. I just never needed to take videos with a camera when I have a much better lay out with a digital camcorder and much better functions.

The Zfc is great for either videos or stills, so I gather that if they bring the Zf, it will also be very good for those that want video capabilities. Note, the Zfc is great for bloggers.
I would only require as part of the buying a new Zf that it be small and compact as possible. Just like the Zfc is. Not only is the Zfc small and compact, but is very light also. Great camera to lounge around when traveling. I use it with very compact manual primes, and the super compact 16-50mm lens. No a lens for low light, but good enough during the day, even if it's kind of cloudy.

Really looking for the Zf as an improvement to the Zfc with great low light capabilities like the Df.

This would complete my set of FM type of cameras, since I have the FM3a a pleasure of a camera to use, every time I feel like film.

To reply to to a few of you. I had thought of buying a Nikon FMII as a second system back many pre-digital days ago. No, I never had a Pentax LX but have dreamed of one (sad if they were awkward). I do own a Pentax K2 DMD that I bought new in the day. It was my main (film) camera for many years. I for a short time also had a K1000SE that soon got stolen. I liked the split-image focusing screen in it.

I admit that Ricoh and previously Hoya is rather odd having only one FF and no proper MILC. But before you dismiss Ricoh as un-innovative fuddy-duddies, know that recently Ricoh announced a K3 Mark III Monochrome Camera. Too pricy for me for a niche B&W only digital camera at $2.2K. But that sure is a lot less than the couple Monochrome Leica cameras out there for $6K or whatever. Right now the Pentax Monochrome is only available in Japan.

Personally I would love a Pentax MILC but it will not happen, and even then they would have to abandon the K-mount. It is too small and the focus plain too deep for modern MILC. Though years ago they got the primitive Pentax K-01 MILC to work. And for me I have 35+ Pentax lenses. I am not dis'ing any brand of camera, they are all good (and slightly bad) in their own ways. Many years ago when I worked retail I actually thought Minolta was a better buy as to bang for your buck even though I personally owned Pentax camera. These days Sony has evolved Minolta in to a high end expensive product line!

Anyway, I solved my issue myself and this post has taken on a life of its own about a few issues about Pentax.

I used to day dream about the K2 DMD because at the time I couldn't afford an LX, but I got lucky that I bought an almost new LX with the motor drive from a young lady that got it as part of her father estate so cheap that is embarrassing to say that it was about $400 dollars. I think that she most likely didn't know what she had in her hands.

My wallet would not cover an “LX”; I do have a “Super Program”, which I still use. I also have a “KP” - I’ve never desired a digital ‘FF’ {nor more than 16MP}, and I’m completely happy with the DA 55-300mm. I used Canon, with their EF-mount, at one time. Nikon was too much like Pentax, so I never had a desire to spend $$$ on one.

ps: I notice you didn’t bother to respond to my comment about the lenses that the MILC’s can’t focus with. At least, neither Canon nor Pentax has made a lens in the past 35+ years that a current camera can’t AF with.

I’ve always found Nikon - with their terminology that sounds like someone’ farm {“AI, AI no”} - very confusing.

I said that I didn't care if there was a motor in the body. As far as Mirroless, every Nikon lens that I own autofocus in my Mirroless Zfc using the adaptor. With the exception of my two AI-S manual focus only lenses that I use on my FM3A, all my lenses are either D or S lenses and they all auto focus in my Mirroless camera.
I understand that the Nikon terminology for its lenses is not as straight an easy to grasp as Pentax K mount, but it is what it is.

I’m not convinced that Nikon was any bargain; they were still selling lenses that required an AF motor in the body {at B&H, at least} when they started selling MILC that required in-lens AF motor.

Have you ever asked a question at the Pentax Forum?

For a long time now, I belong to the Pentax forums. Used to be my bible while I was waiting for Pentax to finally come up with a FF digital camera, since at the time (2017) due to all my lenses being Pentax (all film, PZ1, LX,).

I knew everything about what Pentax was offering, in terms of camera and lenses vs what Nikon was offering. I went with Nikon, because I knew the slow response time for Pentax to come up with anything down the line.

At the time the Pentax K1 was no match in autofocus speed with Nikon or Canon.

And yes, to me, the Nikon 750 with the 24-120, and the 70-200 was a better deal, economically and otherwise than Pentax. Still to to this day Pentax doesn't have a 24-120. When they finally, came up with a similar zoom lens it was a 28-105.

From 2017 when I bought the Nikon system to now, Pentax has one, and still one FF offering; which I figured at the time that that was going to be the deal with Pentax for a long, long time.

With Nikon, I have what I was always looking for a FF digital that looks and feel like a film camera, ergo the Df, and the Zfc; which I bought, and now I can just go with the camera that I want to use depending on what I'm doing. The autofocus in body was a non issue to me, actually I preferred that way since I could actually use any lens and I didn't have to worry if the lens has a motor or not.

I don't know if you have ever had a Nikon FM3A in your hands, compare that to the Pentax LX, I take the FM3A anytime over the Pentax, and I'm no dissing the LX which I love, but since I got the FM3A, I really don't use the LX at all, and I'm really thinking of getting rid of the whole LX System that I have. It's just that I haven't have the heart to do it.

Problem with Pentax is that since the PZ1/PZ1p, they never came up with anything worth buying in comparison to other manufacturers offerings, mostly due to Hoya terrible management, almost killing of the brand. Them came Ricoh, they put a little more effort into the Camera business, but very, very slow.

I waited, and waited, and waited for Ricoh to finally come up with a FF, by the time I decided to buy my first digital FF camera, I was already bought over Nikon offerings over the one single offering from Pentax, the K1. I ended up with the Nikon 750, and modern Nikon lenses. Still to this day Ricoh through the Pentax brand all it offers as far as FF is the K1 through updates. The switch from Pentax to Nikon was painless, their cameras layouts and ergonomics are very similar, therefore, no steep learning curve. I you want customer support from Ricoh, forget it. Go with Nikon.

Focal Length depends on what you are trying to achieve. Just a particular segment of the sky, or a whole swab? For general sky, 14mm to 24 mm single focal lens is kind of standard. If you need a specific cluster then the 50mm could be all you need. Whatever you get, f4 or more, such an f2.8, f1.8, aperture lens is better.

It is also fun watching the older people with legacy systems justify their brand loyalty.

What legacy systems/Brands have to do with anything when taking a photograph?
You use whatever camera type you have and take the picture as you envision it, I mean if you know what you're doing to begin with.

Since the advent of photography, photographers have been taking award winning photos with what was available to them at the time. You don't need the latest wonder in order to be able to take a picture.

I have a Norita 66 from the 70s, are you going to tell me that because it's a legacy camera and lens from the 70s I can't take pictures with it any longer?

I very much appreciate you all taking the time to respond to my inquiry, and I value your thoughts.
Fwiw, I now have the Nikon FM2N and the FE2 — both in great condition — and love using them. Having owned the FM3a in the early 2000’s when it first came out (then later, and now regretfully, selling it to move to digital) I am now tempted to buy one to replace either the FE2, or both it and the FM2N. Or, am also tempted by a Mint- F3P — although I’ve never even handled an F3 and therefore don’t have a good idea how it feels in the hand (or, bag), nor how I’d like using the viewfinder and it’s digital readouts. So, will continue to look at both.
Again, thanks very much for your responses.

If around $1000 for a good EX+++ to mint+++ FM3a is not a hardship economically, them go ahead and buy one. You only live once. I did, and now I'm overjoyed using my FM3a almost on a daily basis. Even though from an economically point of view I shouldn't have spent the money on it, but I did, and now I don't care that I did.

The FM3a is a nice camera but in my opinion it's not even worth the $600 price tag. I pick the F3 any day.

Indeed. The price is too high for what it is, but as we all know demand moves prices, specially for those that collect or just want what they want at any cost.

Wow the FM3a beats the inflation. Using inflation calculator if you buy the FM3a in 2006 brand new it was $600 and that money with inflation is worth $905.14 today. You have the use of the camera for 18 years for free and beat the inflation.

Indeed. In March of this year I bought from Japan a FM3a with the 50mm F1.4 listed for over $1200 as Mint. Lo and behold when I received it it was like brand new. No a single sign of that camera ever being used, nor the lens.

But I shouldn't wonder, every used item that I every bought from a Japanese dealer is Always in such a prestine condition that you always wonder if it is new.

I've been wanting this camera/lens combo for a few years now, and every year I only saw the price rising. Whatever it is with this camera, it's getting more expensive to buy as time goes by. The only thing I made sure was that the serial number was in the high 3XXX, so as to get a 2005/2006 camera.

The camera is a dream to use. Ergonomically is like made for me. It has every feature that I need, feels well balance and solid without being heavy. This, is the reason I have a Nikon Df, and a Zfc. With them, I keep that "Manual" like handling and operating of a camera that I like so much from when I got my very first camera ever, the Chinon CE-4s which I still use to this day.

As far as repairs, if, and if ever I need to have the FM3a repaired, I'm sure that I will find someone, somewhere to fix it; just like I recently had my Chinon CE-4s serviced not too long ago, last year, actually, and my Chinon is from 1981.

I got another class action check yesterday. This one was about a Roundup (weed killer) case. The check was for only $26.18, but I've received about $400 over the years. Never turn down the chance to join a class action lawsuit. I bet the lawyers got twice what I got.

I have never joined a Class Action Suit. I will not sell my integrity for a few dollars, and make those despicable sharks richer than they already are. They are nothing but vultures.

I do understand that there are some Class Action Suits that merits it, but most of them are frivolous, based in technicalities.
