Tony showed pictures of the upcoming Nikon ZF last night - pictures from Nikon Rumors. He thought it was a big mistake for Nikon to be offering it in black and only black. This was designed to be a retro camera, so it should be available in silver. Maybe that will happen. After all, it's not like they would have to change the mechanics or electronics to offer it in silver. I might buy a silver one, but I certainly wouldn't buy a black one.

I think you are forgetting this is only a rumor.

Folks like retro...especially Nikon...which frankly always made the best looking bodies...vintage era wise.

But folks like chrome...

So...you come out with black first...let them fly off the shelves....given no other option...they will sell...and a lot better because the chrome option isn't there.

THEN...you make a chrome version...in the second generation of the body.

And...that's...how it is done.

Isn’t it kinda funny that back in the film days, us amateur photogs lusted for the black bodied version and some would pay extra $ to have one. Now we want the traditional vintage look. I guess it makes the retro design look more authentic.
