I have that tool. Works well but I think they only supply one pad.

Seems to me that road repair crews used to repair potholes better.
I’m guessing that the procedure is:
1. Remove loose debris.
2. Fill the hole until it’s slightly over the surface of the road.
3. Steam roll or tamp down the asphalt until it’s level with the existing road surface.
4. Seal the asphalt with some sort of thick liquid sealant.

Seems like they leave out steps 3. And 4. Which, I think, are the most important.
I never see a steam roller with a repair crew, nor sealant.
They just pour asphalt in and move on.
I’ve even seen crew filling potholes in pouring rain.

I could be wrong.

Lobsters were once food for the poor.

We took a cruise to st John’s, BC. The tour guide on an excursion we took told us that same thing. Lobster was so plentiful that kids tried to hide the fact that their parents gave them lobster sandwiches because they were so embarrassed.

Electric school buses are becoming a reality. I wouldn't want my kids riding in an electric school bus. Have you ever seen videos of electric buses on fire?

Well, if they can fix the “catching fire” aspect, I’d welcome them. When I was a teacher in Queens, NY about 15 busses would line up at the front entrance and around the corner.
Ever walk past 15 school buses with engines idling? Try that on a hot day. Walking past them you could hardly breathe.
I think that bus companies must have been allowed minimal exhaust control in NYC.

What do you do when you lose the remote?

I put an Apple Air Tag on my Fob, my keys, and other items. Apple sells a rubberized key chain that you can put the AirTag in and attach to your devices.

I unfortunately last year, I backed into a car that was backing out of a parking space. I turned all the information in to my insurance company. No damage to the other vehicle, my car only. Yes, I am 83 years old, this is my first accident in all the years from 16 on—no tickets in at least 15 years no DUI or any infractions. My insurance's last 6-month renewal was approximately $900. This 6-month renewal is increased by over 300 percent. to $3000 for 6 months. If you are living in California and have a fender bender look out!

It would have been cheaper over all, to pay for the repair out of pocket. That increase will last a long time.

I think stores like Ace Hardware sell, and program fobs. Dunno how much but surely cheaper than a dealer.

I don't think there is any such thing as a cleaner that cleans without scrubbing. That part seems a scam. But maybe use it with a scrubber, and it will be fine (?)

Baking soda and vinegar.

Years ago my brother and I had to go to California. We rented a car, Chevrolet sedan, and somehow the key got left in the trunk. One of the group I was with had a GM vehicle at home and wouldn’t you know it, it work.
Saved a lot of money not having to use a locksmith or call the rental company.

I have about 8 Apple Air Tags. I put them in my 2 cars, some luggage, laptop case, with my car key Fob, and keys.
They beep, but I don’t know how I’d hear them if they’re in my car while it’s traveling down the highway.
I’d like to see more pinpoint accuracy but, for now, it’s what I got.

I want a ban on TINNITUS posts. There I was just settling down after a nice Sunday lunch and BANG - the word hits me like baseball bat - and sets mine going.

I, too, have Tinnitus. Like you it only bothers me when someone mentions it.
Crazy, huh?

That's an odd situation with Win11. Will thousands of people have to buy new computers when MS forces everyone to use Win11? Isn't there a way to make a computer Win11 compliant?

You’re the researcher. There might be away.

It had Win10, but I don't recall what happened to that drive. It's been a few years. It's a good computer with Core i7 and 32GB of memory and Asus motherboard. It will be all SSD when it's finished.

I can buy Win10 for under $80, so that's not too bad.

Ok. That’s another problem you might have. Your computer might not be suitable for Windows 11.
I have a Dell 8900. I believe you have the same or newer model. It’s pretty powerful but I cannot put Windows 11 on it.
I WAS, however, able to install it on my 2 year old Acer Laptop which came with Windows 10.
