What kind of tests?

Narcotics, bomb making materials, etc. These k-9s are not only used on the aircraft but in customs and the luggage carousels, you won't see them unless they are working.

Have you ever wondered how the airport police trains their k-9 partners. I interact with the SFO airport police department K-9 unit on a weekly basis for training. Currently they are in the process of recertifications and the dogs must get 100% if not they are allowed one retest after 45 days if they fail again they are retired. The head of the unit comes to see me about using an aircraft which always give them if one is available as the photo shows they are using an airbus on this particular day. They perfer to use narrow body aircraft for the training, but the certification is on all aircraft types, narrow and wide body. They have even brought their k-9 partners in and introduced them to me.

I drive a fairly new Porsche 911. It has a button that if I keep it off it will turn the engine off automatically at stoplights. I like it to do that on my wife for first love to do that so I have the button on when she is in the car.

My 2024 Subaru Legacy has the same button that is automatically on whenever the car is first started, it also has a display with timer and fuel consumption, timer is 0.000 and fuel consumed is 0.0000, as long as I keep my foot still on the brake pedal the display will show, the minute I even flex my toes the engine goes to all cylinders and the display goes away. The time and fuel used is cumulative for each trip once the engine is shut off it resets to zero. The longest reading I have seen is 0.010 for time and 0.0025 for fuel consumed. The only thing I dislike about it is that it kicks hard when you take your foot off the brake when the other cylinders kick in. My car has a 2.5L 4cyl engine and it is not a turbo. The 2.4L has the turbo on it. The salesman told me it was better for my car engine to let it idle for a few minutes before putting it in gear and driving off, he gave no reason for it, but as a mechanic letting it idle for a few seconds before putting the engine under load ensures that the bearings are being lubricated.

Oh, so Safeway is part of Kroger. In the far West Safeway bought Vons and Albertsons Markets. I've never seen a Kroger in California, but I do remember a few Safeway as a young kid.

I know of three Safeways within 40 miles of where I live, Modesto, Turlock and Tracy and that is because I live in one city and frequent the other two.

I don't have that problem with my dog and his medication. He reminds me every morning between 5:30 and six that he wants his medication. He will sit patiently and watch while I put it in a treat, if I am not fast enough getting it for him he will start doing a little dance until its ready.

when I bought my 2017 Subaru I was told that it was the last year for built in on board navigation system, when I bought the 2024 Subaru I found that it has a built in navigation system using TomTom and there is a way to check for updates.

plus you can't talk to a pharmacist by mail to learn about the side effects of the medication, and before someone says the DR. should tell you about the side effects, the Drs usually doesn't know but a pharmacist will.

Right. Something like that was removed from Facebook a few years ago because it's nonsense.

That's because the admins couldn't understand it, it didn't fit in with their beliefs

In the beginning I hate self checkout but now I find they are better than some human cashiers.

I still hate self check-out. Self check out just means that more people are out of work, also at self check out you don't have to be polite to the cashier.

It doesn't work for me unless I put my age in that I will be in a couple of weeks. 67+1955=2022, if using 68 it is 2023. Your birthday has to have already happen. I tried it with my oldest son whose birthday is in April, 39+1984=2023, etc.

Looks to me that the bed of the truck has a cover on it. I bet the board wouldn't lay flat in the bed. I have had a few p/u's over the years but never had a cover for the beds. Don't know what you do with the cover if whatever is in the bed is too big for the cover.

It could be the edges of the bed liner showing.

When I had squeaky door hinges I always used gun oil. It never dries out.

I recently had a squeaking bedroom door and had used 3-in-1 oil, wd-40, silicone spray, and graphite on the hinges to eliminate the squeaking. Each of the products that I used last for about 3 days and then the squeak would return. One day my wife said to clean the hinges and put Dawn Dishsoap on the hinges, it has been about two weeks now since I did that and the squeak has not returned.

I also use Dawn in the toilet for clog prevention. This also last awhile

I have my iPhone sync to my laptop, and iPad. When I take a photo it automatically syncs with with all products with my Apple ID. If you delete from one it deletes from all plus iCloud. If you delete and reliaze you still need the photo you can retrieve from iCloud up to 30 days after deletion. I go through my photos occasionally and delete duplicates and any that I no longer such as flight registrations, aircraft part numbers, receipts for my HSA etc.

I recently had the oil changed in my wife's Toyota Prius c at Firestone for a cost of 106 dollars plus change, I also had them do an alignment and tire rotation which was free since we bought the tires there. With my new Subaru I get six months free oil change and then I think I will switch back to Firestone. With my previous Subaru the oil changes were around 106.00 dollars and every other oil change there would be a free tire rotation and alignment. I purchase the four wheel alignment and it it is free as long as I own the vehicle.

The previous Subaru still had the original brakes when I traded it in, the car had 281,146 miles on it. I bought the car new in 2017 and owned it for six years. The only major maintenance I had done at the dealer was a valve on the CVT transmission and rear wheel bearing replacement at a cost of 2400.00 dollars.

That valve was tied into the ABS system, Transmission oil temp, and several other safety systems.
