I recently had a squeaking bedroom door and had used 3-in-1 oil, wd-40, silicone spray, and graphite on the hinges to eliminate the squeaking. Each of the products that I used last for about 3 days and then the squeak would return. One day my wife said to clean the hinges and put Dawn Dishsoap on the hinges, it has been about two weeks now since I did that and the squeak has not returned.
I also use Dawn in the toilet for clog prevention. This also last awhile

I cheated.
I got a large "favor injector" and filled it with "Red and Tacky" grease.
PC fans- work.
Vacuum cleaner bearings? Better than new.
Hinges suddenly easy and quiet. Too.
Those noisy house fans- bathroom, kitchen, freestanding? Work faster, and quietly.
a weekend- all done.
You can pull back the seal of a "sealed" bearing, grease it, and push the seal back.

Get a small refillable oil applicator and fill it with Mobil One oil. Use that. Will not dry out or attract dirt. Can be used in ant temperature.

We use Dawn in dispenser bottles in the kitchen and bath. It's a great hand cleaner, and a lot less expensive than Liquid soap.

I use it to clean carbs, water add Dawn, hard boil for about 15 mins. Works better than card cleaners.

Dawn is great for windows also. Toilets yes, we are on septic system and I often pray when I flush the toilet.
