Wow You are way ahead of me ..I am retired and took up portrait photography about 10 years ago. I do not make much money. Do not have finds to buy equipment or space for a studio. I am in a walker and I have advanced RA so holding the camera is difficult but I still do what I can.
I love street photography but we do not live in a area where many people congregate.
I love color but I am gravitated to B and W for serious portraits.
I will post some later.
Great eye for what is interesting!
Loved seeing those old buildings and churches
I was under the impression that the Rhinoceros was the most ill tempered in Africa...??
I have always loved the idea of Black and White for portraits of people. I feel it lends itself to show character.
Color seems to be better for showing the culture of my subject. I do however enjoy shooting both.
I have found that when I show people their photos in B and W they are super impressed. That could be due to the novelty of the idea of nostalgia's appeal.
There is also sepia which people seem to like at some times.
Any ideas here?
$5,000 wow!
Hope you are getting your money's worth
Tell us what it does so good
I love they way you let the weather create the moods. Nice work indeed. You encourage me to do the same.
Well HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone. Hopefully this year will begin to make some sense on many levels. I confess I have not gone out to do much shooting. So, my new year's resolution is to correct that. I love street and candid shots.
I live in Hernando County, Florida and we do not have a very out there population.
My question is where can I find people to shoot candidly if very few people are congregating except in food markets and places to eat???
Any suggestions... ?
WOW! What a great shot. That must feel very good.

Either the shutter button is broken, or there is something stuck inside, preventing it from moving. Do you really have a D1500?
I don't think Nikon Service is working now, so calling them wouldn't help.
Other people have had stuck shutter buttons.

Hello
I have a Nikon D5100
iI was going to shoot some pictures yesterday found the top button that
you press to take a picture is stuck . It will not go down. My battery is fully changed. I had the camera serviced a few months ago. Everything was fine.
Now with this virus we are isolating and the camera stores are closed.
What can I do?
Thank you in advance for ANY HELP
I love the Italy, Spain and Greece. You captured the flavor of that part of Italy.
Wonderful shots. :)

While that is true, I still find it difficult to imagine someone with a DX camera going out to buy a FX lens. My bad.
Why do you say that ? Please elaborate
I am learning

If she is using a DX camera the 50mm would give her an equivalent angle of view of 75mm which is good for portraits.
I have a Nikon D 5100 it is good enough for now. We have financial issues to pay off first. Then you can recommend a better camera body.
any suggestions with the lens and my Nikon D5100?
