Clemson, of course. Then next year we can have the "playoff" for the National Champion.

Welcome, Clint. I live in Greer, SC and visit your area often. I first began visiting the area as a young child with my parents as it was often an after church Sunday afternoon ride. I'm an amateur but I love photographing the mountains.

Just click on the photo you want to delete and a checkmark shows in the upper left corner. Then click delete and the photos checked are gone. I've done this several time to get rid of duplicates and photos I didn't want to keep.

Beautiful photos that brought back memories of the area from three years ago. We were discussing Aunt Polly's just a few days ago and remembering our trip. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the beautiful shots. I remember that drive very well from two years ago. It was much more scarey than Pikes Peak.

Great photos of a beautiful place. However, what happened to the line down the middle? I must admit I'm a tarheel born living in the beautiful state of SC now. Still can't get the tar off my heels though. Always enjoy your posts.

I like them both. Print the warm one for winter and exchange for the cool one in the summer.

I've been thinking about that trip all week. Wife and I were there three years ago the middle of Sept. It snowed on White Mountain the day before we went. No problem with driving or walking around as they had the snow all piled up but the strong wind and the presence of the snow made it quite cool. A number of covered bridges in that area along the NH-VT border. A breakfast at Aunt Polly's Pancake House is a treat if you have time. Hope you have as much fun as we did. Can't wait to see your photos.

The On1 10 software does a really good job. You can download it for a trial. They are coming out with a RAW editor this fall and I may switch to them from Lightroom because their system does not use a catalog. You can edit your photo wherever it is and there's no problem. You might try the trial for the eraser tool.

There's a line of antique clocks called "gingerbread" clocks which are very ornate. Probably an art school of the 1800. The carvings on the house resemble some of the clocks.

Does anyone here know anything about "Day for Night Filters"?

My searches haven't turned up a whole lot of information about them.
I'm speculating that similar effects can be obtained by using neutral density filters along with white balance / color adjustments in post processing.

Serge Ramelli has a youtube that demonstrates how to do this in lightroom. It is unbelievable what he can do even to adding light to the streets and inside the houses.

Congratulations to your son. Thank him for his service please.

Dennis

Thank you Dennis. We're proud of him. The only negative is we never get to see him because he's somewhere else in the world. We're hoping that while he's at the Pentagon we will get to see him a few times. He presented us with our first grandchild two months ago and of course we want to see her!

Wow! I'll bet he has a good chance of being an adult Marine some day, too. Our son decided at 8yrs old he was going to the Air Force Academy and never changed his mind nor looked back. Today he's a Major beginning a new adventure at the pentagon next week.
