LarJgrip I am assuming you are being facetious, but if not, the "second" eye "is likely" to have evolved, because two eyes provided depth of vision and, therefore, better survival for those who lunged forward to catch moving prey or later jumped from tree to tree (primates, monkeys included, and other mammals). Just theory, of course, but unlike the Bible, a theory may be changed with new evidence.

If two eyes evolved from a need when will I get eye in the back of my head to watch behind me so I don't need a rear view mirror in my car.

Bible thumpers beware: Gravitational Waves from Big Bang Detected. This should get Alan Gupth the Nobel Prize.

When God spoke the world into existence there was a Big Bang and we are still feeling the ripple effect as everything continues to evolve.

Mine is still in Melville. 7 days and counting since they received it. Status still says, "In shop"
Have you tried it yet? Any sensor spots?

Will be interested in hearing replies to your post. My D600 got a new shutter months ago, well before Nikon sent out the letters and email notices. I suspect they have had a flood of returns that will negatively affect the time a repair will take. My past experiences with Nikon Repair the in-house time has been around a week with a couple of days shipping to and from. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Let us know how it works out. ;)

10 days to get back in my hands. Coincidently I shipped mine the day day before the free "fix" was announced. Nikon reimbursed me for the shipping and insurance $57

Has anyone on the forum had experience with this Travel tripod, either carbon fibre or aluminium, off to a wedding in Malta in September.
They are supplied from China ,from various reports it would seem quit well made, any observations would be most appreciated.

Plan some extra time in Malta. Let somebody else drive. It is crazy. Get to the gratto a few mikes away.

Going to be in Grand Canyon area in 2 weeks. Any recommendations for spots off the beaten track for some good interesting photos.

It is not off the path, but do a helicopter ride. Our first view was from the helicopter and is seemed extra spectacular because of the arrival pattern- Hidden then BOOM. There it was in full view. Lots of great "soaring" music.

I just got the tracking info. My Nikon D600 sent to Nikon has arrive at their repair facility in Melville NY. I sent it out on Friday. Not too bad. The only question is, why did it sit at the UPS center in Parsippany, NJ all day Monday?

Mine back in 10 days. Arriving today. Sent a week ago Monday.

All of them. I did. But mainly like somebody else said. Wide end or the long. Did also get some use out if the 1.8 50mm. And used a two x teleconverter some. 18-35. 70-200.
