Always support your local camera store if you have one. They are disappearing too fast. Even paying tax the service is worth it. I see on this site too many local stores closing. I am lucky to have Service Photo in my area and have made all my major purchases from them since the 90's.
Thanks for the reply. I live in the Northwest suburbs of Baltimore in the county so our logistics don't match. Worth asking.
I see that you live in the Baltimore area and we seem to share similar interests ie: I like trains and photography and have a model railroad - N scale. I am always looking for someone to go shooting with. If interested in getting together please pm me. Very nice tour of the B&O railroad roundhouse.
Ironic. I just encounted the same thing on my Canon 5320. Went on line and did everything they said to do but no luck. Like you I weighed buying a new print head vs a new machine. The kicker is the investment in the inks I had for the Canon. Decided that for what I used this machine for it wasn't worth buying a new print head. I got my money and use out of the old one. Problem is with the crazy supply chain issues it is hard to get a new one. I went to my local Staples but they had no inventory for what I wanted. I bought one on line - last one they had - and sold my Canon inks on this site. Good luck on your quest.
Try it and tell us how it works out!
I guess you are not married. My wife never forgets.
Canon 5320 but I just sold them. Sorry.
My Canon printer died and nothing short of a new printer head will bring it back. I have desided to retire it. I have full printer cartridges that I would like to sell. 7 cartridges, 4 of which I had just replaced in the machine and are full. $50 for all 7 and I will pay postage. I accept PayPal. PM me if interested.
At your age - I am 81 - if you can afford it and want it, go for it and enjoy it.
As someone who is struggling with getting good shots of my local hummingbird, I really admire yours. Good job. My bird chases other hummingbirds away and any others that come near the feeder.
Could not agree more that Bryan Peterson's books are a great place to start. Back in the film days John Shaw's books were my starting point and helped me understand the principals of Photography. I have a number of Bryan's books and have taken a workshop with him. If you are into wildlife I also reccomend Steve Perry. All terrific teachers.
Nicely done. I assume HO. My layout - N - saved my sanity this past year during Covid. I would love to see more.
Very nice and I especially liked the one with the bicyclists. The red contrasted with the mauve of the surroundings really catches my eye. I might have cropped the sky at the top but great shot.
An absolutely fabulous lens. Had it on a D7500, since sold. Now have Z6. Good luck selling. Can't go wrong with this lens if have DX.
