Last Sunday a friend and I went to the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, MD. The museum is a branch of the Smithsonian Institution, and is nicely done, but except for its collection of Civil War era locomotives, it pales in comparison to the Pennsylvania Rail Road Museum in Ronks, PA or Steamtown in Scranton. Here are some pictures.

Replicas of first B&O horse drawn RR, and Tom Thumb, first successful steam engine in America.

I see that you live in the Baltimore area and we seem to share similar interests ie: I like trains and photography and have a model railroad - N scale. I am always looking for someone to go shooting with. If interested in getting together please pm me. Very nice tour of the B&O railroad roundhouse.

Thank you. I, too, enjoy having someone to shoot with, but I do not live in the Baltimore Area. I live north of Philadelphia. My friend and I made a special trip to see this museum.
